Malamang Toyota QA nagpa-dampot nung unit...

    :bwahaha: :bwahaha:

But, seriously, mahihirapan lang yung bibili nung unit sa probinsya. He won't be able to have it serviced legitimately in any provincial dealer, 'coz pag "hot" car yan, naka-timbre din yan sa dealers. Where is he gonna buy replaceable spare parts like filters, eh, wala pang surplus parts available for a launch vehicle?

Most likely, the unit will be used for robbing banks and doing illegal stuff. Afterwhich, the perps will just ditch the vehicle...

The problem is they might use it as guinea pig, to study on how to open the SUV for future carnapping plan. tsk tsk tsk

Tama si martian. They'll just rip it apart and study the whole security system. Even parts that can be very expensive in the near future (sa casa) since this is an imported car.

So, what do you suggest? Sell na lang our Fortuners and get the Isuzu Alterra instead?

Any car model will eventually get carnapped. That's why we should all be wary of where we go and where we bring our precious babies. It will definitely hurt a lot when you lose something that you got from your hard earned money.

hmmm, yung fortuner na nacarnap malamang baka nasa mindanao na ito and at this "place" where its public knowledge where a lot of carnapped vehicles end up in. malamang kasama na yung sa mga patrols, land cruisers, prados and what have you. as for servicing, walang problema doon.

however, i really hope they recover the vehicle

kahit kaninong sasakyan at ano pang klaseng sasakyan yan, we sympathize with all the victims

i'm planning to sell my trooper & get a fortuner.
i'm still thinking whether to get the gas or diesel variant.
i'm also wondering of the advantage/diadvantage of fortuner compared to my trooper.

Don't sell your trooper, I test drove my friend's fortuner and medyo matagtag sya and hindi comfortable ang seats.

    Hi Guys,
Nakapila din ako since May 16 so Toyota makati. My reserved unit is 2.7 Gas Grayish Brown. According to my agent, I am 6th in line for this color. Based on the list, I am the only one who wants this color. Can't wait.

Anybody here opted for the leatherette seatcovers? Exactly how much does the dealer sell it anyway. I was quoted 13k at Cubao but my colleague got it for 10k at Manila Bay. Anywhere we can get it outside with the exact same fit as those sold in the dealerships?

Also has anyone been able to secure a quote from Kelseats to have the Fortuner reupholstered in leather? My dealer is quoting me 100k!

The leatherette seatcovers costs P12.5K at my dealer.

If you plan to have your seats re-upholstered, go straight to KelSeat. Malaki ang patong ng dealers, despite the fact that they get discounts from KelSeat.

The prices, as quoted to me by Kelseat for the Fortuner:
    Leather/vinyl combo - P37.5K
    Full leather - P60K

Thanks. Imagine the difference in price quoted! I just hope that Kelseats has not adjusted its price. Maybe I'll wait a little longer...

Actually, I meant Toyota Cubao. I can understand that they would want to make some money but 100k vs 60k!!! (assuming they quoted me full leather) is just plain highway robbery!!!
