The (gray) carpet matting I got from my dealer is ok naman. But, I do have some rubber matting on top of it, kasi nga it's rainy these past few days.Originally Posted by fortfan

There's an OEM floor mat for the Fortuner, it has a button lock that fastens the mat to some holes on the floor carpetting. What I don't like about the OEM floor mats is that they come only in beige color. So, dumihin sya tlaga.

Thanks Vic.
The dealer gave me the OEM beige matting (but walang buttons), Mukhang matibay but dumihin. Pero after 3 weeks, sira na yun driver's side. Nabutas na.
BTW, i am getting 5.2Km/liter for my 2.7G. first gas refill is 4.8Km/L
OEM yung nakuha mo? Hmmm... It should have some button locks. You'll notice some holes in the cabin floor carpetting where the button locks go in. My officemate's has the button locks. But, he complains na dumihin talaga yung beige.Originally Posted by fortfan
I computed 8.54km/li during the last top-up of my 3.0V (mostly city driving ako). The MID registered 8.54km/li. So, I guess, fairly accurate naman yung MID computer.![]()
Just had my 3.0V rustproofed today at SAVI. They did a great job. The bottom looks like it's all brandnew straight from the plant. Here are some photos of their work.
Here's the right and left front wheel wells. At least there'll be some protection while I wait for some wheel well guards.
The rear bottom looks so pristine... You'd think the unit just rolled-off the production line.

Here's more...
The front bottom and the rear wheel well... It would be such a shame to soil these.
Oh, they also coated the insides of all the doors including the hood. They had to remove the door panels to do so...
vicoyski,
Where is SAVI, how much is the rustproofing and how long does it take? Thanks.
bro -- tanong lang. sa mileage mo na yan, what is your:Originally Posted by fortfan

City driving only at 20-80kph. Hindi pa ako nakaka more than 80kph except once sa C5.Originally Posted by 111prez
Yes, SAVI is exactly like Ziebart... You can have regular annual check-ups and touch-ups. The cost si P8000. But, they gave me a 50% discount... Kaya P4000 na lang...That's 'coz all our company cars are rustproofed and touched-up regularly by SAVI.
Vic: At which SAVI location did you have yours done? I used SAVI of Toyota Pasong Tamo but their work is kinda crappy.
My unit was done by SAVI at our motorpool shop. They have a dedicated technician at our shop. Kasi nga, almost everyday, there's a company or employee-owned vehicle needing, either new rustproofing, or an annual touch-up. Pulido ang trabaho kasi I also gave the technician a big tip.
Mas maganda siguro ipa-tira sa actual SAVI office and units n'yo. I think they're listed sa yellow pages eh.
vicoyski... can you clarify if that is rustproofing or an undercoat treatment?
AFAIK - all new vehicles already have factory rustproofing treatment (check your manual). they also apply it when you will have your car or just a panel repainted.

Hmmm... Now that you mentioned it... Technically, I'd say it's an undercoat treatment, 'coz rustproofing is more of an electro-chemical process done at the plant. Pero, the job is not just under the body. They actually did the insides of all the 5 doors, the door and window pillars, the windshield drain, the insides of the fenders, and even the front hood. The job will take a good part of the whole day. But, the new tar coating they use dries real fast and appears as a matt black finish. Kaya lang, my car will smell like tar for the next few days daw.Originally Posted by mazdamazda
