Yup, yung mga nilulumot na jan sa pila ng Fortuner you are very much welcome to join us in the LET'S BOYCOTT THE FORTUNER thread sa Goon Squad Forum. We can freely discuss our frustrations there, walang censorship of "anti-Toyota" sentiments there, hehe. :praning:Originally Posted by Innova_Boy
Another thing, not because you want to boycott something, it is already a hate thread. Kung nakisama lang lahat ng consumers (tsikoteers included) by refusing to buy Fortuners bundled with all the add-ons and IHF, Toyota will be forced to become more customer-oriented. A-amagin yung mga Fortuners nila kung wala namang bumibili so they will start attracting consumers rather than screwing them.
Although i agree that it is freedom of choice to be screwed, wala kasing pakisama yung iba para lahat tayo mag-benefit. Anyway, pagdating ng araw at bumaha na ng Fortuner sa kalsada, tawanan na lang natin yung mga kumagat dun sa 26% IHF para lang mauna. :praning:
My bad.
Tsikoteers wanting to buy Fortuner comprise a very small percentage of the total number of people in the whole Philippines who are dying to get one right now. So even if everyone in this forum agreed not to buy a Fortuner, it would have little effect on Toyota's sales figures. It would have been nice if people didn't buy the Fortuner based on impulse and emotion.Originally Posted by Mushi Mushi

We want to know if we should add you to the Future Owners List. Come on, tell us...Originally Posted by Mushi Mushi

Bossing Vicoyski, like what I mentioned before, ayaw akong i-entertain ng Toyota, not even add me to the reservation list, kahit na I will pay in cold cash right on that same day. They are waiting for the IHF bait-biters and they are priorities they told me.
I like the silver Fortuner 2.7G, pero wag mo akong isama dun sa "Future" Fortuner list baka tirahin din ako nung ibang tsikoteers haha. :praning:
p.s.
I didn't mean to trash this place, nasabit kasi yung pangalan ko eh about spreading hate hehe. Napa-impulse reaction tuloy ako. I just want consumers to unite for the good of everybody, kaysa mag kanya-kanyang diskarte.
I agree. It's just a hyperbole figure of speech.Originally Posted by number001

I have some acquaintances who have admitted to having put in reservations at 4 different dealers!Kung sino daw una maka-deliver, yun ang kukunin nila. I guess the news we hear about units being passed-up due to having a different color from their reservations, is due to the fact that a reservation has become unclaimed... Unclaimed because the guy who originally reserved it, already got his unit at another dealer. This shows that the bubble is about to pop... The demand and the supply are about to reach equilibrium. And, very soon, the unscrupulous dealers will rue the day they messed with the consumers.

me I'm a 2.7G Extreme Black kind of guy![]()
Speaking of colors.....I wonder why the Gold/Brownish Beige is not sellable? According to the dealers I spoke with, the Gray and the Beige are not sellable colors. And both might require a special order from the factory. Silver is an absolute best seller, followed closely by black then white.
I like the beige color since it actually makes the Fortuner look like a Lexus RX! Nice!
Has anyone tried chroming their front grill? Or know how much it would cost to chrome it? How about installing chrome inserts like the Hilux's grill?
hi guys can anyone tell me wat is the Lug size and Hub size for fortuner ? anyoffset required ?

If you wanna speed up in a Fortuner, you shouldn't be getting a 2.5 D4D. The 2.7G would be the best choice for this purpose. However, lemme show a comparison...Originally Posted by guy_8788

The Max Power & Torque for the Fortuner come from the Innova's 2.5 D4D data. The Curb Weight for the 4x2 D4D Fortuner was derived by getting the difference in weight of the A/T Innova 2.0 VVTi and A/t Innova 2.5D4D, then adding it to the 2.7G Fortuner's Curb Weight. The exact Curb Weight may actually be a bit lower since the 2.0VVTi engine weighs less than a 2.7VVTi engine (this is not an exact science, so please bear with me).
Since, lot's of people say that the 4x2 Everest's power is more than adequate, wouldn't you guys say that the comparable 4x2 D4D Fortuner might be considerably adequate, as well?
Anyway, we'll have to wait for the actual specs, just to be sure.![]()

nagdadalwang icip 2loy ako kung 2.7g or 2.5d....wat do you suggest mga sir??
how is the fuel mileage of the 2.7g compared to crv n rav? kse naka crv ako for daily use
thnx...
Did something stupid again today...I drove my 3.0V up to 160kph. The wife caught me and told me to slow-down... The 3.0V sure was quiet at 160kph. Sounded like I was driving a car. I used to get my Dad's Nissan Patrol Safari up to 160kph, but it sounded as if it was screaming for air!

Aside from fuel efficiency, torque, etc...I really have no idea of the diesel's benefis. I hope anyone can help enlighten me.
But I can say that the 2.5L D4D (same engine with new Fortuner variant) from the Innova, initially felt really sluggish (compared to the gas) even if you put the pedal to the metal (flooring the accelerator).
If you want instantaneous engine response/performance, best to go for the gas, imo. But, as per other user reviews/test drives, the 2.7L gas seems ill-adequate for hauling weights of the Fortuner's capacity. So I guess, this just leaves us with no clear engine choice to pick.
siguro naman ok na kung average of 2 passengers per day lang ang 2.7L gas.Originally Posted by number001
