Dude, if you really want to "effectively" keep a tracking list to measure Toyota's delivery performance (which i presume that is the motive of the list), then the list should contain:

    1) Date when reservation was approved by Toyota
    2) How much reservation/downpayment made
    3) What purchasing scheme you availed (e.g. cash, IHF, add-ons, etc)
    4) Name of Toyota Dealer
    5) Model of unit
    6) No. in the waiting line - as given to you by your dealer
    7) Date when your unit actually arrived

This way, the list is more meaningful and will serve some real purpose. Without all these details (and I haven't seen anyone asking for the details), the list will only describe people who have paid for a Fortuner or people who have the money to pay for a Fortuner. That's all the list is telling us.

Make it my 4 cents now. I'm trying to make your excitement more meaningful guys... not to mention more helpful to those who are also planning to buy.

hmmm... you have a point there. People should also post their buying experiences with their respective dealers. But!!! I can sense a bit of sourgraping. Are you from Isuzu? peace!!!

Had a bad experience with Isuzu two years ago(May 2003 this was before the scrapping of the 10 seater rule). I was planning to buy a skyroof trooper and ayaw din akong bigyan, gusto in house financing na 13% interest p.a. and in house insurance din na pagkamahal mahal. Soooooo I went straight to mitsubishi to buy my fieldmaster. Ganun din nangyari sa akin with toyota(fortuner naman) this year hehehe I also went to mitsubishi again to get my gen3 pajero. This is how I became an ex-future fortuner owner hehehe.

I also have a bad experience with a mitsubishi dealer this year, the agent quoted 2.35m for the standard gas variant, d sinabi sa akin ng agent na me less 170k pala, buti na lang I happen to stumble upon the thread started by "bad driver" about the price reduction. Sooooo I asked a friend of mine to recommend a mitsubishi dealer and sa awa ng diyos ok naman kausap yung pinakilala, I talked directly to the sales manager, mas malaki ang binigay na dicount sa akin and andaming freebies(free back up sensor and plate protector etc...) hehehe...

I'm just curious, did anyone of our fortuner owners got their unit without the "forced"(ihf, leather seats, paid premium price etc.. ) dealer add-ons?

going a bit tangent, saan yang mitsu dealer na yan sir bolantoy? yung agent kasi namin, he did mention the discount on the outlander, and sinubukan pa nga ihabol sa isa pang discount promo which recently ended, nakahabol naman.

but then, i guess they really needed to sell the outlander kaya pati recently ended promo, nahabol pa. hahahahaha.

afaik, ipsg_slimshady is with isuzu phils. heheheh. and i see his/her (sorry ha, don't know yet if you're a guy or girl) point with the other info, so that we have a better picture on the experiences of the people queueing for the fortuner, and those who got it already.

hahaha medyo mahina kasi sales nila kaya binabawi na lang sa service and discounts but I'm not complaining, tayo naman nagbebenefit eh.

    OT:

O nga pala, had a good buying experience(bought a city for my dad) with honda this year, siguro dahil sa mahina din sales nila, kinain na ng toyota fortuner pati market nila. Malaki din discount and binigyan pa ako ng free body coloured sidings for the 1.3 liter city.

Dude, how can you sense that I'm sourgraping, you don't even have any idea what kind of ride I own?

I'm not connected with Isuzu. The "IPSG" on my username is just a parody about somebody that people where discussing in this forum when I signed-up. I don't even know what it means.

slimshady: thought you were with isuzu, since there was once lady chatter here once who was with isuzu and had ipsg too. i stand corrected.

bolantoy: got the pm. onga eh. sometimes, even if the car model doesn't sell too well and the customer happens to want to buy it, panalo customer with the extra perks that'll be given. still sore though with the fact that a few weeks afterwards, lumabas yung mivec version. hahahahaha.

Those are some good suggestions IPSG_SlimShady, but there's nothing really "wrong" with our current list, is there?

    Bragging list? Heh.

IPSG_SlimShady has a good point but i think putting those information will occupy too much space. Someone can however reactivate the "dealership woes" thread.

I saw in a different thread that IPSG stands for Isuzu Pasig Sales Group (or something like that). But i guess that's a different IPSG

*Vic, mazdamazda, forza, ram_001, thanks for your kind words.

*beebs, I was #1 in the 2.7 list. I reserved way before the lauching date. But I guess mas maraming malalakas na tao na sumingit. I actually did not get the color I wanted pero wala akong choice bec price increase na.

*Bry, I don't think the dealers would allow the buyers to dictate who to allocate the unwanted color. Ngayon nga maraming dealer take it or leave it yun color, if you dont want the color they are offering, they threaten to put you again at the end of the queue

I also want to install the back sensors, ano ang mas maganda?

Or kaya, lumipat na lang kayo dun sa thread ko: "LET'S BOYCOTT THE TOYOTA FORTUNER". Sigurado magkakaintindihan tayo dun dahil pare-pareho ang vibrations natin dun. Hanapin nyo sa Goon Squad Forum. Dito, pro-Fortuner kasi si Mr.Moderator kaya medyo biased haha. La lang. :praning:

bro slim_shady.... let's not be too serious here. i do respect your opinion, pero masaya naman kame this way. wala naman cguro kame nasasagasaan. if you see na bragging ang dating...well... to begin with... most of the ones posting here naman are proud owners of their cars. kaya i dont see anything wrong with it.
relax lang tayo and enjoy the thread.

In fact, I think this thread should be MOVED to the Car Clubs Forum instead since the list of owners are obviously growing now and the community of Fortuner owners can have a forum of their own to discuss and compare their new ride. Keeping this list in this forum makes it look like a "bragging" list instead.

    Just a 2 cents.
Bragging list? Grabe! What gave you that idea? Have you read from the beginning of this thread? Have you seen any owner or future owner here bash any other person or unit?

Have you read the title of the thread? Does it say "Welcome to the TOYOTA FORTUNER Club"? This thread is not a club! It's a support thread for owners and future owners.

I didn't see you mentioning that the Innova Thread was a bragging list! Why target this particular thread? Walang ganyanan partner!

Keep your 4 cents! The information you are asking is not needed! Posting such info will just turn this thread into a "bragging list"!

Seeing how other people got their units only adds stress to the future owners who are legitimately waiting for their units to arrive! And, why do you wanna stress the future owners here? Partner, walang ganyanan!

Opo... I tried seeing how fast I can go with the vehicle still in its break-in period. It's just not possible for me to go beyond 160kph at the SLEX. Pangit ang kalsada eh. Maybe sa NLEX in the near future...

I think it was Hyperev who has already made his 3.0V go beyond 170kph. But, he made no mention where he got his unit to reach such a speed.

Welcome to all owners of Toyota Fortuner [ARCHIVED]
