we always fail to put a price on our hardship.. headache.. time spent..

right, our current vios, 260K+ odo, actually runs great. other than normal wear parts, it never gave us headaches. not so quiet na nga lng inside the cabin. so the innova would just be an opportunity to get us a bigger car and quieter inside, but louder outside heheh. but also not really a necessity.

the wife actually have her eyes on the kia seltos if we were to get brand new. sorry if O.T. na 'to.

Go get the innova. Its cheap. Madali lang naman ayusin mga issues mo.

On the aircon hose, not surprised there. My new innova had faulty hoses and was replaced under warranty while car was 3 months old

aha, so it's more common pala re the hose. that one should have been covered by warranty, kaso nga void na eh after a few months pa lang.

re the alternator bearing, the shop that worked on it said di na raw yon 1st time nila on an innova.

thanks nga pala guys for your quick replies, pag uusapan namin ni misis ang next move. ayoko din kasi na ituloy nila pagbabayad tapos iiwan sakin at ako naman mamomroblema sa maintenance.

my take is, dapat ibenta na nila. kung sa iba, ok lang. kung sa amin, at least akin yong imemaintain ko [emoji4]

sometimes, the price of the car is higher than industry average, because the sale includes the taxi franchise. (legal or illegal, i don't know.)
would you like to venture into the grab business? this might be a good time, should you buy your in laws' innova.

last month may redundancy sa ofc. kala ko kasama na ako, and actually thought of continuing erpat's grab franchise, instead of looking for another ofc job. could also look over my kids myself while si misis ofc job pa rin.

but the company retained me, so ofc job pa rin and i use my trusty all-stock yamaha mio going to the ofc. beats traffic all the time. so currently not really needed ang innova. too unwieldy din for misis, that's why a CUV came up.

for outright expense din, the innova fairs better than getting her a CUV which is at least double the price. looks like a good amount of time is needed to make a decision. lol [emoji38]

maraming tao na may regular job na, may grab sideline pa rin. if you can't drive it, have someone else drive it.
if you have the time and the inclination, fixing it yourself bit by bit, is fine. i imagine, parts are easy to source.
but if time is money to you...
the innova is really a very good car. "bulletproof" is how some folks describe her. and i agree.

I'm handy with any repairs/maintenance that don't need special equipment (lifters, etc..), so that's not going to be a problem.

re having someone drive it as grab maybe on weekdays might actually work (we do provincial trips fortnightly).

a proven solid car means less headaches din kasi. basta alagaan lng talaga.

I recently got an Innova touring Sport variant.

Under the hood it's 2.8L Diesel.
Pansin ko lang under the hood it has no engine insulator or engine cover while the G & V variant has.

Question lang sa mga experienced and long time Innova owners:
Is there any different in terms of emitting engine noise while driving for the variant with and without the cover on the engine?

I'm planning to have it install in my unit if it makes any difference.

Do get it. Upgrade the firewall too. You can really hear the engine even while idling in traffic

i really interested in getting it, I just need an inputs from some expert to have it worth. An agent told me about this as well, he tested to drive it, just need more to confirm it.

bro you can compare the innova and the fortuner,

the fortuner is so much quieter than the innova in traffic. though the vibration is almost the same.

the sound insulation needs to be improved on the innova.

I just don't think it is, every component has it's purpose for functioning besides the location is not visible enough when running that could be consider as ornament, but it might be.

Just need more inputs.
