sa mga innova owners na similar series, please check your brake lights for sure may pundi yan

you can look at mine. it hasn't pundied yet since new, way back in 2012.
the usual suspects in repeated pundi, include:1. vibration. loose housing, etc.; 2. excessive heat. look for loose connections; and 3. it's not really pundi, but is suffering from poor or dirty electrical connections. twirl the bulb to make it light up. but don't sandpaper the bulb socket, lest it rust.

Oh wait. I changed the backing lights to double contacts, 5w for park light and 21w for reverse light.....

You have WHITE lights in the rear when the parklights are on? What for? That's technically illegal.

BTT. Changed to red 1157 LEDs for the rear parklights/stoplights, red T15 LED for the high-mount brake light, and amber 1156PY LEDs on all turn signal lights.

I still have the original bulbs somewhere.

Changed the bulbs to deep yellow bro.,- and only 5W (regular power rating) for park lights.

    Reverse,- 21W+5W......

No offense. I'm just passionate about road signs, regulations, and signalling.

It is certainly better than white. But still, only red and white (when in reverse) are allowed in the rear when solidly lit. Amber is allowed in the rear as signal and hazard lights (blinking) only. Though, solid amber is allowed on the side of the vehicle (particularly near the front).

    No issue bro.

    OT.
the source i read (RA 4136) is strangely quiet re. back-up lights. it is not even mentioned.
but it does mention plate lights as requirement!
    perhaps it has been updated...?

In exterior car lights and indicators, white light is generally a universal signal to other drivers that your car is going towards the direction of the white lamp. In other words, if you see white light (from headlights or reverse lights), it indicates that the car is going towards you.

For the same reason, red tail lights indicates the the vehicle is driving away from you.

It is then not a good idea and sometime downright dangerous to use the wrong light color. As an example, it is dangerous and reckless to use red-colored lamps in front of any vehicle (unless you're the police/EMS and ONLY when they're flashing), as other vehicles might mistake you as going the opposite direction, instead of driving towards them.

Using white tail lights is also both confusing and glaring.... annoying at the least.

You pull it out a bit sideways, while holding the whole structure.

After a couple of successful ones, it comes naturally.... [actually a bigger challenge was the tail lights of the GS - in this case you have to rock it to let loose off the ear/positioner] Gamunggo ang pawis at kalakas ng kabog....
