good thing may Toyota Baguio pala, had it fixed yesterday morning before we went to la trinidad. there goes my 5k though..
i would have checked the belt tension first.
but i am happy for you, that the casa already replaces the alternator bearing. in the early season of the innova, they told me the only thing to do was to replace the alternator.

It should be commonly available on most car audio / accessories shops. I got mine from L.A. Cars.

no, i haven't encountered this before. but it seems to be a straightforward case of wrong connection. an auto electrician should be able to right this.
but you can try to do it yourself. the fusebox diagram should be helpful in tracing them leads.
btw... who last played with your auto electricals?

Check chassis grounding points and the brake lamp/tail light ground. That usually happens when the brake lamps aren't grounded properly. 1157 bulbs have two filaments, low wattage (park light) and high wattage (brake light). When the outer sleeve or bayonet of the bulb is not conected to ground, applying the brakes would send power to both low and high wattage filaments.

Were there any work done on your car? Body work? Service?

    Noted dr. d.

May nabasa rin ako (here at tsikot) similar to what you do with your car aircon.

Check also the 1157 bulbs. Remove them from their sockets and inspect the contact. It's possible it may have melted and one of the contacts may be touching the other.
