It's just turbo lag on the Diesel Innova. It takes a moment for the turbo to spool up during acceleration. Once it reaches a certain speed, you'll get your torque.

You'll just have to time your acceleration to get over the turbo lag.

I'm guessing lang boss.

gas or diesel po? sa gas, in my experience, throttle cleaning po kailangan gawin using any electronic throttle cleaner. nagreset po kasi yung computer box, so hindi na tama yung info ng gas-to-air ratio since nagpalit ng filter, or nalinis yung MAF. in case of CASA PMS, dapat may OBD scan yun para macheck yung compbox. tia

Tsaka anong brand maganda klase at kelangan ba parehong palit? Thanks.

rear shocks are so easy to replace. all you need is the willingness to get dirty. even a half-decent mechanic na nakatambay sa auto parts stores, can do it.
yes, i recommend replacement in pairs. we tried one at a time before... sayang lang ang downtime and labor charge kung tingi, dahil bumigay yung kabila a few months later.
brand? you got me there.. i just asked the seller what he's got. after 5 years, them replacements are still ok.

I've been backreading and found this posted just this March. What caught my attention was "replaced by Toyota Commonwealth." I hope the poster was able to have his Innova fixed. I'm sympathizing with the poster as I find Toyota Commonwealth lousy and negligent when it comes to repairs.

I'm saying this as I really have a very bad experience with them. I brought my Innova to Toyota Commonwealth for some minor body repairs. However, after 14 days, they returned my car with a drained battery and busted alarm. This after I gave it to them without a hick-up of a problem. I wrote a letter of complaint and they replaced my alarm (but had to return it several times as they gave me defective replacements) but refused to replace my battery.

On closer inspection, there were obvious lousy work like lifted and deformed mouldings. In addition, while working on my alarm, they removed the panels under the steering wheel but failed to return the clips. Lousy work. I also wrote a letter of complaint to Toyota Motors Philippines but other than acknowledging my email and promising to look into it, they never gave me any feedback.

So true about toyota the lousy workmanship of common wealth. Not only that but incompetent mechanics. Left my innova there with half tank full. After 3 days they advised me that the car have no fuel and ask permission to buy some fuel. I was puzzled since, my problem was no air going the the floor vent when i set the aircon to divert air to the floor.

Sayang lang to ko sinulat yung odometer reading before having it serviced.

I have so many complaints against sakanila. Spoke with the management. Pull out ko from commonwealth then sa toyota pasig ko pina warranty.

Finally got my instrument panel replaced by Toyota Commonwealth this morning. Napilitan lang ako kasi I noticed some lights sa instrument panel were not working when they were repairing my alarm. The instrument panel came after more than a month. Here's the catch, when I turned on the engine, naka-open ang aircon ko at full blast! Memories of my battery getting drained flowed back to me. I asked the service manager bakit naka-on ang aircon. I think that is bullshit kasi pati mga vents nagalaw.

Also, is it true na ma-reset ang odometer reading kapag nagpalit ng instrument panel?

I would like to strongly advice people here from bringing your cars to Toyota Commonwealth. Ibang klase ang mga gumagawa doon. Their work is sloppy and they don't take care of your car. Also, they will take advantage of your aircon and fuel while doing the repairs.

I'm not trying to side with Toyota Commonwealth... just being constructive.

You have to put yourself in their shoes. In the many situations I have to meticulously adjust my HU (levels, EQ, delay, etc.) while parked inside my relatively cool garage, I can't last for more than a few minutes without turning on the AC at full blast. Temperature and humidity inside the cabin can really spike up to uncomfortable levels pretty fast, even when parked in the shade. If you have two people working on the dash, it gets worse and can really take it out on you without AC.

Yes, it is annoying to have to readjust the climate control and vents when you receive your car, but don't assume they meant that to piss you off or think that they spend their siesta time in your car (unless you have proof, of course). They may have just done it so they can work on the dashboard in relative comfort.

I am not annoyed at adjusting the AC. I disagree with this practice as it erodes confidence, particularly if the instances of lousy work keeps on piling up. You have to understand that this "practice" caused my batteries to die when I sent it to them for body works. Dagdag na gastos and loss of confidence.

Then it means that the battery was dying anyway. It would've made very little difference between that and it dying in your hands a few days or weeks later. In the grand scheme of things, that's way better than having the battery die on you when help is not readily available.

Also, in my observation in dealers, they move the cars around... a lot! They start it up, move it from one slot to another or a different floor, then turn off the engine. The engine runs for only a few seconds to a few minutes at most, likely depriving the battery the time to recharge. That could just be the last straw that broke it. Again, if the battery is already in that state, it's bound to die sooner or later.

This'll be all she wrote. Have a good one.

Maybe it was dying anyway but it did not show any signs. I was able to start the car with just a flick of the keys even after cold December and January nights parked in tree covered residential areas inside UP. The battery is just 1 year old and none of the signs of a dying battery was present before I gave it to them. Yes I guess it happens that a battery dies, but from totally fine to completely dead? Parang atake sa puso, it happens but its shitty.

Thanks for the comments but I'm still not going to trust them.

It happens more often than not. Except for a few instances, all my car batteries pretty much die that way. Typical situation for me is that it would start fine in the morning, but by the time I'm about to leave the office, I get a couple of slow cranks then 'click'. One other time, it's the opposite... arrived home the night before with everything seemingly normal, but died the next morning.
