    btw,
how did you find out na may kalawang?
my radiator doesn't have a cap, and my overflow cannister is not transparent enough...
My Innova is a 2008 A/T Gas model and it has a radiator cap. Sa radiator cap at color ng coolant sa ibabaw ng radiator nag base sa opinion ko na meron syang kalawang...

Rust in the coolant could simply mean that somebody used ordinary tap water, contaminated liquid, or the wrong coolant type to refill it at some point. Even if you don't change the factory coolant, for as long as you keep it topped up with the correct coolant type, it should technically last the life of the engine. But of course, this is not ideal and at some point, it is still recommended to replace it as per the manual. Chemicals in the coolant that inhibits corrosion gets used up eventually (similar to how oil additives gets used up).

Anyway, rust in the cooling system would indicate that something is being corroded from within. It could simply be surface rust from an iron block or it could be from the water pump impeller. I've seen water pumps have their impellers disintegrate due to corrosion, causing the coolant to stop circulating and the engine to overheat.

    Something like this....

After 11 years, kahapon lang na drain lahat ng old coolant ko from my Innova 2008 and since I erroneously mixed the coolant (originally Toyota pink color) with green ones from different brands during top ups, I really thought na magkakalawang aya. However, I've watched the whole process and saw that the old coolant was still clean and pink. So no rust pala....

My 2008 Innova instrument panel light bulb (behind the thermostat knob) got busted. It is just a small light bulb and have inquired in some banawe shop but they don't have a similar one. Any shops that you know of that has this kind of light bulb? It is more like a very small led pinlight. Thank you.

Are you talking about the bulb inside sir or the whole third brake light assembly?

You don't replace the whole third brake light assembly. You just replace the light bulb inside it just one light bulb socket type in the middle.

    if yours is like mine,
it's a tiny incandescent-type peanut glass bulb, mounted on a plastic (bakelite?) base. i already walked half of banawe and many other auto supply stores for such. wala.
but it is easily available from the casa, where they sell it for an obnoxious amount of 350 or 700 bucks apeace, i forget which. i bought several.
for some reason, over the years, my innova already busted three of them.
my replacement bulb is in the ashtray beside it. but tinatamad na akong mag-kabit, ulit. baka mapundi ulit, eh. heh heh.

if you do not know how, yet (but i suspect, you already know how),
the how-to instructions are in youtube. the most difficult part, is twisting the old one out, and twisting the new bulb, in. it's a bayonet mount. it's not difficult, if you don't have the hulk's hands.
    good luck.

Take a picture. From there we can guess if it is the T4.2 bulb which is the common bulb, easily replaced with a T5 bulb. Or the T3 bulb that is mlre difficult to source.

If it is the T3 bulb, shopee is your friend. I bought a pack from shopee since i canf buy just 1 pc.

    The 1st gen Innova 3rd brake light is a T15 or W16W peanut bulb (12, 16W).

better to have a ruler in the picture.
there are at least two near-identical models, differing only in size. i made the mistake of buying what i already suspected as the other size. "mura lang". 100 kesos. i thought i could switch/replace bases. but i was mistaken.
best is to have the busted bulb on hand, for comparison.

i eventually surrendered to the casa, whereupon i purchased $everal piece$.

That's too much for a tiny bulb at casa. I will just have it replaced upon my upcoming pms at the shop although I know it is easy and doable if diy. I will check shoppee as advised by sirkosero just need the exact model number for this type of light bulb.
