they said the same for the new vitara. meron nga... wrong variant naman ang easily-available. yung mas in-demand na higher end, naka-pila pa yata ang mga buyers.
It is already available for reservation in their website Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation

errr... reservations don't count, in my book, sir.
glass and metal on rubber, is what counts for me.
let us sit back and wait.

You've got trade-offs in both sides.

Plus if you'll be carrying a lot often, you might find the innova's torque figures more appealing (360nm vs xpander's 141nm)

I'd still be best to test drive both units first.

i have two diesels with a combined 18 year ownership experience.
except for the 5000 km oil and filter change pms, i have done nothing else to maintain them engines.
and they still shake like new.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But let me just say that I do like the Xpander's lines.... maybe a little overdone here and there but otherwise, it does take on a modern look.

Off the top of my head, I do have a few things I don't particularly like...

    1. 1.5L Petrol-only engine (CMIIW) - I think that having 1.5L Petrol engine pits this more against the Avanza than the Innova. I mean, even the old Innova had 2.0L (Petrol) and 2.5L (Diesel) engines slapped on a ladder-frame chassis
    2. FWD Transverse Engine - I can't stress enough that given the road conditions here, a FWD vehicle can prove to be more problematic in the long run. There's just so much going on in the front axle of a FWD vehicle... forces applied to it everywhere, making them susceptible to increase wear. With a RWD vehicle, the relative simplicity of the front axle and the "chunkiness" of its solid rear axle makes it more rugged

So are you suggesting me that Innova J diesel, manual is better than Xpander Plus 990,000 gas, automatic?

Best gas option(automatic) vs cheapest diesel option..

It depends on your ipon for downpayment and capability to pay monthly.

Both choices are ok. A 1.5L mivec idling in traffic doesnt drink too much fuel. a 2.8L diesel idling in traffic will not be that bad since diesel fuel is cheap (relatively) 40pesos.

also depends if you haul your whole family daily... heavy loads will make the 1.5L drink more. if youre solo or with your wife it isnt too thirsty.

    help.

    innova J 2.8 MT
    or
    mobilio TOTL AT
    or
    innova E 2.8 MT/AT + asin nalang ang ulam.

ano kaya ok in the long run. yung hindi masakit sa ulo i-maintain. worry ko kasi eh kung mabigat dalhin sa paa ang MT ng innova. mobilio talaga target pero for ease of mind (dahil malaki ka konti sa daan) eh innova. yun lang eh sasagad nako sa budget.

kung sino man sa kanilang dalawa, i'd like to get suggestion for recommended casa/SA.

i paid 2229.06 pesos for my 2012 innova diesel, a couple of yours ago, after the initial 3 year LTO expired.
cost of TPL insurance, emissions test, change venue, not included. wala na resibos, but i estimate these to be less than 2000 bucks.
the comprehensive insurance is over 10K, po, if you still want one.
