Showed them the posts here in FCP and in Tsikot and have agreed that they will seriously look into it. They will take this up with senior management so positive action will be planned and executed.

Couple of suggestions that I made which they will seriously consider :

    1. Setting up of a quick action center or hotline to address the D4D problem
    a. I will be forwarding to them the numbers of those who are affected and they should get in touch with these owners for possible remedies
    b. Instead of the dealership calling, it will be TMP customer service who will be dedicated to solve the issues

    2. Extension of warranty for those beyond three years (just for the supply pump) until they can say that the D4d problem is close to zero

    3. They will generate the database from their dealerships of owners who have complained and possibly still awaiting actions

    4. Possible Focus Group Discussion with concerned owners and TMP to address common issues

    5. They will monitor both FCP and tsikot for other concerns that I have not raised. (btw , I also included the issue on the Innova gas tank)

    Meeting adjourned at 1120am

I will keep you posted as they have given me numbers if nothing has been done.

    Thank you for your support.
I will be watching this and the other thread. Very much concern with the gas tank leak. Out of warranty na Innova ko....

Thanks for the info Fireblade. Did they indicate if and when this will be announced to the public. I'm just waiting for my Innova G unit (no available color yet) so I'm quite anxious as to when the warranty extension will start.

I don't know about the quality of Motolite before but I already have two Motolite EXCEL (green) fail on me. The Truck Master 2SM I'm using seem to need constant topping up of water compared to the MF battery it replaced. But Motolite is allegedly made here in the Philippines, so buy Filipino.
    Sir,

Since my innova is gas (vvti), so I need a battery na only 1smf. Pero when I was in a Motolite Battery Shop ang tanong nila refers to plates- 9, 11, 13 plates...so what should I buy on the basis of the plates?? sorry for noob questions

IMO, sana po nag mineral oil na lang muna kayo since 1K PMS pa lang naman... sa TYT Manila Bay yata... AMALIE ang gamit nilang FS oil.

    Pag Motolite

    Enduro - 9 plates - 12 months warranty
    Gold - 11 plates - 18 months warranty
    Excel - 13 plates - 24 months warranty

If you have plenty of add on electrical accessories go for Gold or Excel maintenance free.

I bought 2SM Excel for my VVTi, madami kasi akong accessories.

I will keep it up to look unto this thread daily....

am very concern of the D4D issues we are currently experiencing on our Toyota D4D's....

anyway what can a Toyota owner do if he encounters a d4d problem and the vehicle is out of warranty?

Maaring tama po kayo Ma'am Liv. Hindi lang kasi ako tumitingin in terms of number of plates. Actually, vehicle battery capacity is measured in Ampere-Hours (or Amp-hrs or AH). Almost always, this rating is stamped on batteries. You can check this out when you compare different battery model of the same brand, (ex. Enduro vs Gold vs Excel).

kung mineral oil lang po pinalagay nyo sa 1K PMS... nasa 1,600.00 lang po damage assuming na vvti unit nyo.

baka po residue lang yun sa pag change oil nyo.

Aside from the rear blower, there's also the rear AC condenser.

    Benefits when using dual aircon:

    1. Eliminates cabin condensation thus eliminates molds and bacteria build up on the upholstery and thus eliminates foul odor.

    2. Reduces stress on the front AC condenser.

    3. Reduces stress on the AC compressor and to the engine.

    4. AC thermostat is almost at nominal most of the time.

For me regarding FC whether it would consume more or consume less fuel, I would stick to running dual AC all the time. My AC is already more then 3 year old and had never been gone to to any casa AC PMS and still running fine. I usually run on the lowest thermostat setting and 2nd fan speed for front and 1st fan speed for the rear.

Thank you Mr. Mile for these information. I've just acquired my Innova G M/T. Question lang regarding AC. What is the proper way of operation for rear AC? Kapag nagstart ba ako ng car at medyo mainit na ung engine, dun pa lang ako mag on ng AC? Sa rear AC, ok lang ba na naka-on na to kapag nagstart ako ng car? Minsan kasi I forgot na i-off ang rear AC.

    Your thought, please. Thanks.

Ito base lang sa experience ko.

Since I got this car, never ako nag-off ng AC pag napapatay ako ng makina. Pag start ko naman ng makina naka-on na talaga ang AC ko(front and rear). So far in more than 3 years wala akong problema sa AC at malamig pa rin naman kahit nasa lowest cool selector. Puede di naman On and OFF if you prefer it that way, it is just a matter of preference IMO.

I red kasi somewhere that constant on and off can wear off switch contacts and sometimes it is hard to find replacement part for AC switches. Ganito na practice ko na hindi nagpapatay ng AC kahit magpapatay ng makina ever since kaya kahit yung 11 year old Lancer namin ganoon din ang practice namin sa AC so far buo pa lahat ng AC control switches.
