wala pong difference sa fuel consumption. kasi isa lang naman compressor. If you don't turn on the rear AC mas matagal mag automatic mas mahihirapan pa nga engine baka mas tumaas pa gas consumption. the rear AC if turn on ang madadagdag lang is Fan.

what do you mean matagal mag automatic? You're the one controlling the fan speed and temp of the ac right?
So is it advisable to turn ON rear ac eventhough you're driving alone?

It would feel enough for you getting the cool breeze using front AC only when driving alone but certainly half of your cabin is hot. When Cool air meets Hot air means it would produce cabin condensation.

Aside from the rear blower, there's also the rear AC condenser.

    Benefits when using dual aircon:

    1. Eliminates cabin condensation thus eliminates molds and bacteria build up on the upholstery and thus eliminates foul odor.

    2. Reduces stress on the front AC condenser.

    3. Reduces stress on the AC compressor and to the engine.

    4. AC thermostat is almost at nominal most of the time.

For me regarding FC whether it would consume more or consume less fuel, I would stick to running dual AC all the time. My AC is already more then 3 year old and had never been gone to to any casa AC PMS and still running fine. I usually run on the lowest thermostat setting and 2nd fan speed for front and 1st fan speed for the rear.

The 1, 2, or 3 SMF is an indication of power ratings/capacity of the battery. Gas engines don't need much power when starting as compared to the diesel. Diesel will always need a min. of 2SMF to operate properly.

I don't know about the quality of Motolite before but I already have two Motolite EXCEL (green) fail on me. The Truck Master 2SM I'm using seem to need constant topping up of water compared to the MF battery it replaced. But Motolite is allegedly made here in the Philippines, so buy Filipino.

I dont understand some of the technicalities like cabin condesation, number 2 and 3 but I got your point. I will definitely follow your advise. Just want to be clear by lowest thermostat setting, did you mean 28 Celsius?

I noticed my ave. fuel consumption display in the info display shows only 6.3 km/L. Is this normal? I haven't manually computed it. I own an A/T G variant by the way.

    Thank you for your reply!

Cabin condensation means your cabin produces moist or tiny mist of water from the cool air and hot air, plus additional from your breathe and body heat.

My AC control panel was still analog and dial type, so I'm not sure about 2009-2010 model having digital control panel.

But are you saying that you set your thermostat to the coolest level?

No, the older model have rotary dial control which has low cool to high cool.

    High cool is the coolest.

    Update on our meeting :

Met with a senior executive of TMP and her group manager at 10am today. Meeting was very cordial as they are very much willing to listen. Showed them the posts here in FCP and in Tsikot and have agreed that they will seriously look into it. They will take this up with senior management so positive action will be planned and executed.

Couple of suggestions that I made which they will seriously consider :

    1. Setting up of a quick action center or hotline to address the D4D problem
    a. I will be forwarding to them the numbers of those who are affected and they should get in touch with these owners for possible remedies
    b. Instead of the dealership calling, it will be TMP customer service who will be dedicated to solve the issues

    2. Extension of warranty for those beyond three years (just for the supply pump) until they can say that the D4d problem is close to zero

    3. They will generate the database from their dealerships of owners who have complained and possibly still awaiting actions

    4. Possible Focus Group Discussion with concerned owners and TMP to address common issues

    5. They will monitor both FCP and tsikot for other concerns that I have not raised. (btw , I also included the issue on the Innova gas tank)

    Meeting adjourned at 1120am

I will keep you posted as they have given me numbers if nothing has been done.

    Thank you for your support.

Thanks Mile2 :barmy: Very useful informaion po. Kaya pala may times na amoy kulob whenever i turn on the rear AC. I usually turn on lang po kasi yung front AC on its 2nd fan speed pag mainit at kasi bihira lang talaga sakyan yung 2nd and 3rd row seats ng innova namin. Thanks for the info.

Belated Happy Valentines pala sa lahat! :doclove:

I think, sir, you may would like to go to a CASA (if under waranty) or to any reputable shop, at first, to check on your electrical system of your Innova; since as you mentioned that it is grounded....

if im not mistaken, stock-dealer battery should at least around 2 years; on your case at least up to 12/2010....

Yes and I included the Innova gas tank woes. I even showed to them the thread with pics of Mile2 for better appreciation.
