try to check on other Toyota dealer(s) and since youre paying in direct CASH, try to bargain more with the asking price and to add-on some more freebies, like, ex. back-sensor, luggage tray, etc. you may also want to negotiate to have the LTO reg for 3 years to be included...

good day, since my innova E doesn't have any factory alarm. I installed one at the casa. I noticed that they peeled the wiring in my unit but they did not totally cut the wires connected to the parking lights and signal lights. they tap some wiring which they said that it is connected to that alarm system. my question is, will it not do any harm to my electrical connection particularly the parking lights and signal lights? the one installing said its fine cause the bulb only requires a little of power to work.

take their word for it... as long as you had your car alarm installed in CASA; but what you should have do is to get the name of that person who installed your car alarm and approach their immediate superior to show the peeled of wires, for your protection and to avoid alliby's between both parties...

I told their supervisor about the wiring being peeled. He said that it is their usual doing in installing the alarm now. because before they have to cut the wiring and put a jumper. peeling is more safer because the main line is still intact, he said.and it is easier to trace if anything went wrong. as of now there is nothing unusual of my innova. thank you for the response.

That's the proper way of joining circuit, and as long as it is properly insulated, there should be no problem. What is important, your electrical warranty is still intact because the upgrade was done by the dealer.

got an innova G diesel m/t black..... last thursday in toyota makati/ bel-air

i noticed that, ang sarap pala i-drive ng diesel d4d... lolz...

i've driven 2 toyota diesel before... one is super grandia 2002-2003 and prado 2005. im still looking for the torque that i experienced in super grandia... ang tindi ng hatak nun hanggang 3rd gear... although my innova is still in the break-in period... pagka 2nd day karga kaagad ng chest type freezer, and mga 4boxes (40kilos each) ng pang bazaar goodies... lolz.. sulit kaagad... and last monday sundo sa airport... 5 big bags and 8passenger (2 kids + 6adults)... ayus lang yun hatak... hindi ko hinataw kasi may mga batang kasama pero ganun pa rin ang performance... met my expectation...

before getting the diesel, i was a lurker in this forum and i've tested gas ( innova J) and diesel (innova G matic) of my friends. i noticed that gas is powerful than diesel but now that im driving it... diesel can catch up on what ever gas engine could do. i'll be lurking here for more tech and updates because it's my 1st time to own a diesel engine...i used to drive mitsu 94 glxi and sold it last week of sept 2009 and now i have jazz 1.3 m/t and innova g diesel m/t.

    hope to learn more here...

Charge mo na lang sa Insurance at EXPERIENCE! Kidding aside, Suwerte ka pa rin at hindi yuong buong Innova ang kinuha sa iyo. Iclaim mo sa insurance and then make sure to buy a Spare Tire Lock from Toyota. Yung original ha! mura lang naman compared to your spare tire set. It has been reported many times na madaling manakaw ang spare tire ng innova without any sort of lock. Bili ko dati mg Php3,000+. Pero nagtaas na yata ngayon. Hindi mo ba nakuha yung plate number ng FX para maireport mo.

that's not a good experience for you and your Innova...
ma'am just be careful next time, especially at your gender, since other people may take advantage of it... buy a stun gunner, so in close range just stun them and immediately call a cop...
as regarding to what happen, our co-forumer here has mentioned to purchase a spare tire lock, please do so, for it not to happen again; and please park your car in a secured place - where there are other vehicle's parked and people are visible along the area...
werent you able to get the plate no. of the FX? because if you did, you can report it to Police & LTO tapos gawa ka ng added kwento for their offense (ex. wreckless driving, swerving, etc.) para makaganti ka ng malufet
since your alarm did not sounded while those bozo are getting your spare tire; check on the sensitivity of your car alarm or you may would like to go to where you installed your alarm and let them adjust your alarm sensitivity...
Please be careful and while parked, dont forget to check on your doors if it is lock, dont just easily rely on car alarm... and lock your steering wheel by turning it clockwise while parked or purchase a steering wheel lock...

The D4D will lose to a VVT-i only on the top-end. But for everyday driving, the D4D is king.

Reminder to all new innova owners and would be owners, demand for a spare tire lock in exchange to other freebies which you ought to have upon acquiring a new unit. The issue of the spare tire being stolen from new innovas has been time and again discussed here. I myself was a victim before from these doughnut gangs. I even had my spare tire secured with big chains and padlock but these crooks didnt spare mine, until I got the toyota solex spare tire lock. The lock is kinda pricey but thinking that your spares are safely secured it justifies any amount for a good security. Merry christmas everyone and drive safely.

Don't worry, I'm sure binalutan yan ng electrical tape ng installers.

Simple deterrent to doughnut gang. Will also keep your spare tire clean all the time.
