Hi folks!
Just acquired from Toyota Baguio a thermalyte gray colored Toyota Innova Diesel E variant. Ordered beige color but after waiting for almost a month, the SA informed me what was just delivered and available was another color. Since my family was not unanimous on the color anyway and this is our first new vehicle, our excitement cannot be contained.

mga sirs, serious question lang po,
recently our innova matic tranny got the ABS lights on(its supposed to be lights off)
naka lights on ibig sabihen malfunctioning
-upon the every 5 kilometer check up, pinakacheck na din namin
-we found out na nginat-ngat pala ng aso namin yung wiring sa ilalim
-toyota said we can not claim warranty in our case
-we said fine, and asked for an estimate on how much it would cost us
-they said 1.6k hihinangin at i seaseal
-after two working days
-nagulat ako kung bakit naka electrical tape lang yung part na naputol na wire
-sabi nila ganun lang daw talaga yun
-i asked if merong warranty just incase na mabasa or matanggal yung wire
-wala daw according to toyota
question is...
TIA
i will contact toyota first thing in the morning, can we ask for a refund or else i will report them to quality control?
is that a good move sir?
one more thing, does toyota really NOT allow buying parts outside the casa, like breakpads, engine oil, etc during PMS check up?
2 weeks ago, I had the squeeking sound sa steering wheel ko fixed sa TMI. umokey naman pero ngaun, parang unti unting bumabalik. Meron bang naka experience ng same problem for a 3 brnd new vehicle?
Yung coiled mat na binili ko sa Do It Yourself shop (Robinsons) per meter at ang width niya ay 60 inches, merong kulay red, blue, gray at beige.
All need to do is make a pattern out of newspaper cut out. You can just cut out the coiled mat according to shape (walang humulmol at di natatastas kasi rubberized).
Before you make the complaints have it check by a reputable car electricians so that he can make good assessment on the job, also ask for technical advise so that when you file the complaint you are well equipped.
If you wish to file a complaint look for CRO on duty (Customer Relation Officer), all Toyota Dealers have CRO.
It's Toyota policy and you have to abide by it, otherwise if you wish to have parts other than what is recommended then your warranty is void. Same is true with other brands Honda, Hyundai, Nissan..etc.one more thing, does toyota really NOT allow buying parts outside the casa, like breakpads, engine oil, etc during PMS check up?
Thinner? you mean the leatherette?
What's the material you use for rubbing? was it MF cloth?
I don't seem to notice what you been noticing so far even for plastics.
If you see WipeOut is not good to your leatherette, just discontinue using it. You can try diluted dishwashing liquid as alternative and use "towel type" MF cloth.
Has anyone seen the quality of the "German" leather seat covers that the dealers offer for P9k?
Cleaning leather can be tricky as it can fade and there are so many types of leather and finishes used on it. You can buy a leather cleaner and conditioner or: Pick up a good moisturizing soap (like Dove or Olay). On a damp cloth lather up the soap, wipe the seats, wait a few minutes, then use another damp cloth to lightly wipe a away the top layer of visible soap (allowing the Leather to absord some of the soap), then use a dry towel and very lightly buff the finish. This process will clean and keep the seats from cracking with the moisturized soap. It's important not to scrub to hard at any time or risk fading the seats.
For small stains best to use soap with a toothbrush on a very small area, so only to risk fading the small area. I wouldn't use standard cleaning solutions on leather as there are many chemicals that may take the finish off or fade the leather.
I also wouldn't use armour all unless you intend to practice your ice skating on the seats...![]()
It's leatherette BTW. Real leather seat cover will cost 45K-70K pesos.
AFAIK, one big Car accessories shop in Banawe (would not mention the name) supplies all seat covers to most dealers like Toyota, Hyundai..etc. And this car accessories shop gets their seat covers from local upholstery shop at a much lower price.
So, if you really need some sort of seat covers then go straight to these known upholstery shops and get 2-4K pesos savings for the same quality.
