i got my new innova j 2110 for three weeks and im satisfied with its pulling power....but my concern is coz its only a J model and this model doesnt have a door open warning, i went to toyota cabanatuan to find out coz my 1987 boxtype have it...so i asked them to put a warning light and im willing to pay them but even the people there dont know if there is available socket for connection...so they have to open the dashboard and they found out that there is no other way but to replace the panel board and it will cost me about 18t...and i said no! so i went home sad coz they asked me to pay 160plus for the check up grrrr! imagine my 1987 old model boxtype have it.... and another incident had just happened, i reached 1000k and need change oil...so i went there and they changed the oil and paid them...but the next day i found out that oil level is more than the "full" level...and i found something powdery at the bottom of the pipe near the catalytic converter...so i went back there...Hay naku poor TUKELLE! they said that s its normal to have a powder coz its new and they drained oil for about half a liter.......and here is the sad news they charged me again for their failure to put the oil to normal level...i said what you were the one that changed and drained oil and now you are charging me 168pesos for your failure?!!!! what a sad experienced!!! so at the end i paid it!!! hehehe!and lessons learned!! Is this what you call after sales service?

In the absence of a door ajar light, just leave the interior light in the "door" position. That way, if any door is left open you can tell immediately.

As for the oil change, yes, casas are lazy and they will always overfill the engine by around .5 liters than what the manual specifies. You got to watch them all the time when they are servicing your unit.

As for the oil change, yes, casas are lazy and they will always overfill the engine by around .5 liters than what the manual specifies. You got to watch them all the time when they are servicing your unit.

this is really such a mind buggling question for me; coz I do most of my maintenance in the casa; but everytime I do maintenance in the casa; I juz wait in the waiting area and be called when the service is done... as customers/vehilce owner are reprimanded to be inside the service area due to safety reasons...
the question is: everytime I do change oil and filter, do they really change the oil on the oil that I brought in the casa which is Castrol Magnatec, not just an ordinary sort of mineral oil? do they change the oil filter; oil filter that was juz purchased in casa; so meaning it is brand new; not juz an oil filter that is refurbished or any sort like that? doubts on my mind, but id just wish that the Manufacturer-Casa do provide service with Integrity.

Why not go to a casa where the PMS is done in the "open type" garage or "quick service" bay? So far Otis and Makati have these so you can really watch your vehicle.

sir, what do you mean by a PMS?
everytime I do have a maintenance in the car (innova); it is being placed in Quick Service, juz happen that everytime I go there; there are neumerous people having their car fixed, too...
I do have my Innova have its maintenance in Toyota Alabang, coz juz happen that this is the nearest casa-toyota that can be reached at...

na break in period?

hindi po kasi namin sya madalas magamit baka abutin pa ako nang december

or january pra sa 1000kms pms. saka ganun po ba talaga, pag bagong start

yung sasakyan , prang amoy kerosene or something basta iba amoy nung

emmision nya?

have that smell also during my break in period, but as far as i can remember once lang nag appear yung smell na yan, another is the smell of burning tire maybe because new tire pa nga, what i did is stop the car pasingaw muna amoy then pour water at each tires then the smell was gone, BTW i have my break in period only for two days,.

Assuming you still have the same stock tires, it is still safe.

Been driving my Innova now for 3 years now with 2-4-3 sitting configuration, Bulacan-Makati and vice versa running 80KMs daily.

stocks tires pa naman.. hehe. isipin ko

halos pareho lang po iyan ng 1K PMS nyo.

Mine is d4d, 5k PMS cost me less than P1,600 w/ mineral oil at Toyota NOrth Balintawak last October 09.

update on my5K pms, cost the same as my 1k. plus engine detailing worth 700php.

Got my unit with 54km on the odo and now its about 115km on the odo.

I have a question, When the unit is idling, sometimes it felt like the engine is running rough. it comes suddenly and leaves within a second or so. its like you felt there's a tremor... but as you start to focus on the idling. its gone... it comes and goes. and the CEL does not light up, the tachometer doesnt dip when this happens.

I've a 07 santa fe and have not encounter this before...

performance wise i have not encountered any problems with my innova.

I've tried my best to see if its a flood repaired car. the date stamped on the seatbelt is 09/03/09 while the date stamped on the fan belt cover is 10/12/09.

Any opinion would be most welcome...

maybe its the battery charging, i remember that for my previous ride when it is charging while the car is at idle the engine sounds as if someone is stepping on the accelator. Never happen to innova though..

Just had my PMS 5000 in toyota C5/ortigas, put fully sythetic. Paid P4,300.

I don't know if they really put fully sythetic since I am not allowed to watch them as they do the PMS.

Is toyota C5 honest enough to put fully synthetic? I read other entries here that other dealers cannot be trusted, you really have to be there to see what they are doing.

How will I know if they put fully synthetic oil? Is there a way to check the oil if its really fully synthetic? (need help on this guys) I don't see any changes in the engine sound/power or driving after the PMS.

Also they said that the whirring sound when doing reverse is normal for manual tranmission which I don't buy their reason.

Any feedback?

Brand new yan.

Toyota Phil delivers their units to dealers by driving it and the km wire cable not disconnected.

Got mine with 60KMs on the ODO. You got 3 years warranty so better use them and be vigilant on the defects for replacements.

No, its not like someone step on the gas pedal... more like an earthquake feeling or a pedestrian bumped into your car kind of feeling (minus the "bump" sound). it comes suddenly and but the time you're alert for it. its back to normal. it always happens when in idle...

Parang yung sakin. May doubt ako na di pinalitan yung oil filter nung nagpa change oil ako sa TQA. Diko kasi napansin agad kasi madilim sa loob ng casa.

Next day ung sinilip ko marumi na agad yung canister ng oil filter. Yung parang mag bahid ng tumulong putik.

Diko na muna binalik. Yoko na inisin yung sarili ko na makipag talo sa casa. Mali ko din kasi diko binantayan yung gumawa.
