Watch out for any rattling, misalignment's, leaks or any defects and tell it to your Service Advisor and Sales Representative...do it every PMS schedules so that you will maintain your car good condition and likewise you maintain solid relationship with your dealer.

    Congrats and safe driving.

if you'll use the car everyday, go for the diesel

if you'll use it maybe just 3-4 days a week, go with the gas

pero glad to hear you went with the gas bro!

    hehe

Big thanks for the reply sir!!

So far wala pa naman sir napapansin na noise except sa sobrang rpm pag nag start/change gear kasi medyo naninibago. sir regarding sa break in period nya ano po ba ang mga dapat i observe for the first 1000k nya to obtain the engines optimum performance in the future..and what do you recommend as best gas for my innova??

    thanks again...

    Thanks Mile2.

good day! to all innova owners newbie here! just want to share some tips on our innovas base on the car manual, nakasulat dun we can only use unleaded for vvti engines beacause if we use other gasoline types like blaze or premium it may damage the catalytic converter can anyone share their comments about this? and another thing i have a friend who uses blaze on his innova j manual his rpm only needs 1500 to shift gears but for me i use unleaded 2000 rpm is needed before i can shift gears, question lang which type of gasoline would stretch my budget more, definitely better mileage ang premium base on this but mas mahal can u help me choose san ako mas makatipid? ty mga bro

All gasoline sold in the Philippines are unleaded for over ten years already.

Premium fuel usually give better engine response because of the higher octane rating than the regular unleaded. But it is also consumed quickly. Some people say its because it evaporates faster. In the end, you need to weight what is important to you. Economy at the expense of performance? Go for unleaded. Performance at the expense of economy? Premium fuel.

You also try 95 RON fuels (ie. Petron XCS). It is in bet. the 97 RON (Velocity, Blaze, etc...) and the E10 blended 93 RON unleaded fuel.

Either use Xtra Unleaded or XCS. Blaze is really unnecessary with your drive route condition. Take note, the Xtra Unleaded has 10% ethanol blended so it is consumed at a faster rate also.

bro, for gasoline type like unleaded, premium, and blaze these types of gasolines have their own octane no, the higher octane no. the better combustion for your engine. but it will eat-up your budget if you go for a higher octane.
With regards to catalytic converter, nowadays our cars are designed now for fuels we used so nothing to bother. and last about your friend innova j w/c only revs * 1500rpm maybe he uses synthetic oil, or he uses higher octane gasoline or maybe the engine already got break-in. hopes this help. cheers!

sir, it depends pa rin on how we drive. for sure if you stock on a traffic medyo malakas sa gaso yun, try a low rev when driving kaso baka mabagalan ka nga lang but it's relaxing if you're not in hurry. cheers!

First, being a newbie to the board I wanted to thank you all, as the information in these posts helped us decide to order a new Metallic Silver Innova G DSL. (we r excited to pick it up in 2 weeks!)

We really wanted leather, but hated the 2nd row captain seats in the V. Has anyone purchased the "German quality Leather" seat covers offered by the dealers? Any reviews on these? We've seen the great stuff listed in Banawe but we're not in Luzon (Cebu).

Looking forward to being a part of the "Innova family"

I've also read that ethanol blends burn faster, so I avoid them. (though I'm happy to not worry about that with our new DSL)

From reliable sources I've heard that as long as you stick to the same octane levels you will be ok. If you put blaze in for a while your engine will get used to that and may ping when you switch back to reg unlead. So in my view the little extra performance is not worth it, I'd stick with the reg octane unlead. It reminds me of why our child gets local chocolate, because he'll never know the difference until he gets the foreign stuff, then he will not want to go back!

After clearer thinking and reading about the "D4D horror stories" ,
we decided to change our order to the vvt-i. I'll sleep better tonight.
