Question po:

First 1,000 km of my car, how necessary for the oil to be changed? kasi before kami nag batangas nasa mga 900+ km na siya, then medyo excited mag out of town, after a few days nag clark pampanga naman kami. sa right now, mga 1400+ km na siya. and since holy week, and after holy week, mejo busy sa work. not sure kung kelan magkaka free time for change oil.

delikado ba na hindi muna change oil after the first 1000 km?

as much as possible try to follow on your PMS schedule
if you cant bring it to casa, meron ka ba kamag-anak na pwede magdrive at dalhin ito sa casa? OR try to take a leave for a day to see the PMS on your car

its not really that delikado na hindi ka magpalit ng engine oil on your 1k PMS just dont always do it regularly to prolong the life of your Innova....

when you bring the car to the casa, it's not just the oil they do. they check out other things as well. consult your manual to see what other items they do. and no, your car won't fall apart next week when you fail to religiously change the oil. but hey, let's admit it: it's not wise to skip it, either, considering the car is under warranty.

Good day po sa mga members...

Another question po regarding Car Cover, advisable ba ang paggamit nito? Specially kung walang parking area yun car, Meron kasi akong nakita sa Blade worth 1300php parang tela (looks ok na sa akin) while sa ACE Hw 2200php satin type sya. Hope someone can give input about my query.

not advisable sir... unang una pag umambon basa ang car cover mo then aaraw, mag mamapa lang sa pintura ng oto nyo yan... pag maaraw naman kagaya ng panahon natin eh di maalikabok naman... pag naluma na yung car cover nyo mag accumulate nga ng alikabok yan, pag tinanggal nyo parang madumi yung oto nyo..

since ala kayong garahe, iiwan nyo yan sa labas.... pag pinag tripan ng dumadaan yan baka nakawin pa yan ahehehehe...

nakikita ko lang advantage nya pag ginamit nyo yan eh dapat me puno kayong nilililiman... at least yung cover nyo protection na sa dakta ng puno na di babagsak sa pintura ng oto nyo..

Quick Question po ulit mga ser, sorry ha, kasi ako pa rin yung last post, wala naman akong makitang edit button.

New owner po ng D4D Innova J

nag back read po ako, and i saw na meron ding mineral oil na ginagamit for engines. i was planning on using synthetic oil when i change oil sa casa. i was quoted 4 thou + sa toyota alabang.

mas mura pala kung mineral oil ang gagamitin ko, since 1,000 km PMS na ako, advisable ba na mineral oil ang gamitin ko, cause 5,000 km ang next PMS ko then 10,000 km.

once a week travel po ako from cavite to tagaytay roughly 86 km po. light load lang din po.

kahit mineral oil lang pede na ser basta palit lang every 5k
pero kung me budget kayo mas ok ang synthetic oil every 10k naman ang palit.. but either of the wo eh ok lang...

Regarding the question of xero2five...

Mas maganda pa-change oil mo yun innova mo bago umabot ng 2K, meron kasing mga kasa na maarte baka gawin nilang reason pa yan ng pagka-VOID ng warranty mo.

About oil naman, tama si Bossing47 kahit mineral lang basta make it sure na every 5K ng odo or every 3 months (whichever comes first) mo machange oil... Changing oil is to prolong yung life ng makina ng oto mo lalo na kung Diesel sya... malelessen din kasi ang usok kapag well maintained sya...

I got my ride * TDC. Had 1k, 5k km PMS there. Then I switched to TAI. Main reason: TAI is nearer my place. TDC laborers are beginners (doesn't even know the sequence of rotating tires). Only thing I liked about Dasma is their reception lounge and viewing area. Nothing else. Whichever dealer is nearer your residence is still the best for you. Saves you time, money and effort.

TAI = toyota alabang inc

anu po difference ng innova sportsrunner vs innova G or V? di ko kase makita yung pagkakaiba nila sa specs po

G and V variants are the same except:

-V has leather upholstery and two passenger captain chairs.
-V 's front grille is in chrome
-V has leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob(?)

Sportsrunner is an E variant in special color (bronze- a color for V or G only) installed with unique and bigger mags + bodykit (ie. fender flare, etc..).

I am planning to buy a second hand Innova, Diesel. I have an XUV and very happy with it. Very fuel efficient. matagtag pero matatag.


I think I will get an Innova pero di ba issue D4D nito? Second lang bibilhin ko 2005 or newer. Any advise?

You can check the specific threads that tackle the issues of the D-4D.

AFAIK, Toyota has not solved the problem. So whether its a 2005 model or 2010 (we yet to see the long term effects), there is always this uncertainty or fear whether or not it will happen.
