Probably the guy with the heavier foot

. If we talk of regular overtaking, the D4D is more than adequate and way more convenient to drive. But on a drag race between the D4D and VVT-i Innova, I'd bet on the VVT-i. It's torque characteristics give it more high-rpm punch, so when redlining, the VVT-i will probably eat the D4D. Know what, I smoked a 3.0 D4D Fortuner once (or twice?). So I'd recommend the VVT-i Innova [M/T] if you drive like me

. Better yet, import a 2.7 VVT-i Innova if it's possible...hehehe...
Probably. On the D4Ds, I never felt any difference of acceleration rate between the M/T and A/T Innovas, but on a drag race, I'd bet on the A/T. You won't use much time between shifts since it's an A/T. All M/T Innovas don't have quickshifters, and it's more like rowing a boat than changing gears.
