Habang tumatagal nabbadtrio tuloy ako. Yung sa inyo ba Sir hanggang ngayon may tunog?
Yun bang tunog yung parang langitngit? Kung pinakabit mo ulit yung stepboard bago ka nagtest drive, it might still be the stepboard.

It is better to observe kung may ibang magdrive ng kotse mo. Mahirap matunton kung ikaw din ang nagmamaneho. I hope makatulong.

Nahuli pala yung mga suggestions ko!! Anyway, it's good to hear na solve na ang problem mo.

    good am Sir.
na experienced ko rin po ung un-even elevation. mas mababa 'yung left side (driver side) compared sa right side. got mine repaired by TMP (Toyota Motor Philippines) * TMBC (Toyota Manila Bay). pinasok ko ng july 29, nakuha ko rin the following day. pinalitan nila 'yung apat na rubber. ayun awa ng Diyos pantay na... complain mo sa dealer mo. better talk to their CRO (Customer Relations Office) para mas mabilis action sa complain mo.

    Good Luck & God Bless!

Tiempuhan lang talaga. Sa november, 2 years na innova ko and I'm very happy with the performance. Tingnan mo yung previous post, CAMRY, may problema.

^Tama yung nasa taas. D4D problems are somewhat sensationalized. Just like Hayden Kho or Annabelle Rama. Don't believe everything you hear.

AFAIK, the 2008 model are the problematic ones... so far naman e wala pang members with 2009 model na nagrereklamo about the black smoke, choking and hardstarting issues.

this is definitely GOOD NEWS to current and would be D4d owners.

Hi, planning to get an innova this december, have some questions that i felt have not been fully answered despite my searching in the forums.

I lived and works in QC. daily drive - 20km. the innova will be replacing my aging corolla which i find a bit cramped for my growing family.

    weekdays - 1 adult
    weekends - 4 adults + 2 babies

    Here are my questions:

    1, VVti (M/T) vs VVTi (A/T) vs D4D (M/T) vs D4D (A/T) -

i know that the gas variant will be more quiet/carlike and maintenance/acquisition cost will be cheaper at the expense of mileage/gas prices.

diesel variant cheaper in the long run...

    My question is;

which has better acceleration? (the spec sheet said that D4D have higher torque but VVTi have higher top speed) So from stoplight to stoplight. which is faster?

    2 D4D (M/T) vs D4D (A/T) -
for the diesel models. did toyota made a mistake when they reported the M/T have max torque of 200Nm vs A/T 260Nm? Does this mean that the AT model will be quicker from a full stop?

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Probably the guy with the heavier foot. If we talk of regular overtaking, the D4D is more than adequate and way more convenient to drive. But on a drag race between the D4D and VVT-i Innova, I'd bet on the VVT-i. It's torque characteristics give it more high-rpm punch, so when redlining, the VVT-i will probably eat the D4D. Know what, I smoked a 3.0 D4D Fortuner once (or twice?). So I'd recommend the VVT-i Innova [M/T] if you drive like me. Better yet, import a 2.7 VVT-i Innova if it's possible...hehehe...

Probably. On the D4Ds, I never felt any difference of acceleration rate between the M/T and A/T Innovas, but on a drag race, I'd bet on the A/T. You won't use much time between shifts since it's an A/T. All M/T Innovas don't have quickshifters, and it's more like rowing a boat than changing gears.

Torque value for dsl A/T & M/T is different, I think that is to compensate for power loss in A/T, that is assuming that the M/T is driven by a "true" driver, I have also noticed it in Isuzu Alterra where torque is higher for A/T... same with Hilux g compared to E, same 2.5 engine same M/T but higher torque for G variant... the reason i bought an Innova A/T , torque and Hp equal to Hi-Ace and fort 2.5 for a lot lesser price... and A/T of innova dsl is really responsive and good to drive, better than the M/T.

Power output defines acceleration according to my research in the internet. Since the Gas variant has a higher power output than the D4D, it will definitely have a slight advantage on acceleration. The higher torque output of the D4D, on the other hand, will provide it better pulling action and this is good when you normally load up your vehicle or travelling in mountainous or elevated areas (Baguio for example).

Nevertheless, as sir Robert pointed out, acceleration of the D4D is not far off from the VVTi. I also have the same experience. Owning a D4D, I was able to compare it with VVTi on numerous occassion when I rented Gas Innova for business use.

Acceleration difference between AT and Manual transmission doesn't matter when you have a family car. If your way is almost always stop and go, you are probably better off with an AT for convenience and ease of driving.

FYI, Speedlab offers a Unichip add-on para sa innova D4D. 25% increase in power and 40+% increase in torque. Currently Php30K package price with dynamometer tuning. Nagresearch ako dahil naintriga ako doon sa isang nagpost at nagtatanong kung may nakakaalam ng tungkol doon.

hi guys! just want your opinion on this,

is 3m the best tint toyota has to offer? i also saw platinum and u.s. brand in their accesories booth buh they said 3m was the best and that 'pilit' lang daw na included sa deal yun for my innova (personally, me thinks its jus sales talk).

also four types lang ba talaga 3m? 1)neutral 2)medium black 3)magic black 4)super black. same price ba lahat toh? since nasa deal siya let's choose the most expensive di ba?!

we want a high quality tint kasi for uv protection and keeps the interior cool, so is 3m as good as they say? i mean toyota dude did say he was giving us the best.
