If yes, pwedeng yung bracket ang may problema. May mali sa design nila so they had to cut it para hindi sumayad sa ilalim ng body.
Matagal ko na itong na-complain and they failed to address it.

+1

You can remove one front tire and it has peek hole where you can see the disc pad. If the pad is already thin, then have it replace at once. The front disk pad is P3K++/set sa casa, replacement one like RSpec is around P850/set in your suking auto supply store

Kung talagang sa dashboard ang tunog, try to remove the center console/stereo and peek inside the dashboard for loose screws., if you think it was the stepboard then remove the stepboard and observe. How to remove stereo/center console cover... http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58585

One time naging problema ko rin yan, and later on yun palang clip on rear view mirror ko ang pinamumulan ng rattling.

If the car's gonna be used everyday, get the E D4D. Expensive, but cheaper to run.
If the car's gonna be used rarely, get the J VVT-i. Cheap, but costly if used regularly.

Go for E for the simple reason that it is equipped with Anti-lock Brake System which would allow you shorter stopping distance during panic braking at high speeds and at the same time still let you steer the vehicle in the process.

E variant is also equipped with driver side air bags. This protects your face and chest from the steering wheel in the event of violent frontal collision.

Maximum torque or pulling power of J variant is only 200Nm vis-a-vis E which is 260Nm which makes E faster in overtaking slow moving vehicles

E is also more upgrade friendly.

Got Diesel E last July 30

Fuel economy on the first full tank 8.85 Kilometers per liter. Second full tank is now averaging 11.84 kilometers per liter.

Also diesel (esp. D-4D) is more expensive to maintain (vs. gas). I don't know about Innova but for the Fortuner, the D-4D uses more motor oil per oil change so PMS costs is higher. This needs to be factored in when doing running cost comparisons.

We change oil of the VVT-i every PMS as recommended by Toyota, so cost for oil is pretty much the same as it is on the D4D. BTW, we have a D4D too.

What I'm saying is, the 2.0li VVT-i (1TR-FE) needs roughly 5.6 li of oil while the 2.5 D-4D (2KD-FTV) needs 6.9 li of oil, every an oil change is performed. Now a difference of 1.3 li of oil every oil change is probably not alot but considering that the cost of mineral oil is Php 2xx.xx, semi-synthetic is Php 3xx-4xx, and fully synthetic Php 6xx-8xx, it does add up to the expenses.

The more higher PMS costs + the higher purchase price (+Php 60,000 to the price of VVT-i) are some of the factors that need to examined whether looking to get the gas or diesel. Each has its own pros and cons. High milers (those who travel 15,000 Kms and up per year) should settle for the diesel since they can easily recoup the higher costs with savings from better fuel economy.

Sorry I forgot to mention my context. I live 40kms from Manila so if I use the car everyday, I'd probably rack up more than 20,000kms a year. That won't make me feel good if I drove the VVT-i everyday. So in my case, D4D is the better everyday car.

All of these are estimates. Here's my case:

If driven 5 days a week...
40kms x 2 trips per day = 80kms per day; about 16xxkms per month

VVT-i
80kms / 9km/L consumption = about 9L of gas
9L of gas x PhP40/L (average) = PhP360 worth of gas per day; PhP7xxx per month

D4D
80kms / 13km/l consumption = about 6.5L of diesel
6.5L of diesel x PhP30/L (average) = PhP195 worth of diesel per day; PhP4xxx per month

Ceteris paribus, the D4D is a no-brainer if the potential owner will drive long distances everyday. It easily saves about PhP35,000 worth of fuel a year if driven on my route 5 days a week.

On the other hand, the VVT-i makes sense if the potential owner lives within the metro and will drive short distances. It's cheaper to buy and proven to be more reliable. And if driven short distances, gas consumption and cost won't be much of a problem since it won't be driven on long distances.

Mga Sir finally nahanap ko na po yung tunog kung san nanggagaling, nanggagaling siya sa hood, nagalaw lang pala yung rubber so I just have to adjust it, plus hinigpitan ko na din yung mga screws just to make sure, so far wala na ko naririnig na rattling noise. Thanks sa mga inputs ninyo mga sir.
