Warranty is 100,000 kms or 3 years which ever comes first.

Have it fixed in your dealer, have them check for cracked or loosen plastic clips in your dashboard.

The label says: TOYOTA Driver Injector.
But I'm not sure as to what it does. I've googled it but found no good explanation.

This module is for D4D engines.

Before engine washing I cover the whole battery and alternator with a plastic bag. Then when spraying, try not to spray to much on the wires. So far no problem pa naman. Kesa naman noong ipatira ko yun engine wash and detail sa casa. Costs me around P1,000!!!

I use a portable power washer from Black & Decker. then I spray Armor All on the rubber and plastic parts of the engine then let it dry. BLING! BLING! na after that. Better than casa.

It is covered by warranty, unless you have additional gadgets installed outside casa that needs some opening of the dashboard and stereo bay.

If you read back this thread, you can find other poster here that have their dashboard rattles fix, some even have their plastic A-pillar cover fixed.

I just had my 1k pms yesterday with my Innova G gas a/t. Mineral oil (which cost me P1,400 al-in-all) lang and pinakarga ko, dahil masakit sa bulsa and fully synthetic oil (P 5,4+). Would it be safe to place engine oil additives such as sold in stores like Ace Hardware, etc.? Would using it void the warranty? Any particular brands you could recommend?

Since Toyota-Cebu would not allow us to bring in engine oil bought outside, would it void the warranty if I would change the oil myself at home for the scheduled 5,000pms, 10,000pms...? Ilang liter ba ang kailangan sa innova?

Actually it is only 5.5 liters for the 2.0 VVTi. Use the remaining 0.5 liter for topping when needed.

Better not to use any oil additives. Mineral oil is okay as long as you do PMS on the 5k intervals.

You can not claim warranty if you skip even one scheduled PMS at casa.

If you want things done outside casa, do it as long as you know what are you doing and you know the reversal procedure, and don't get dissapointed when casa revoke your warranty.

Casa charged me for 6 liters of mineral oil as evident in their bill, and if they only placed 5.5 liters, why did they not return to me the excess (for future use). By the way, how effective is Toyota's 20W50 mineral oil?

Here's some inputs of fellow toyota (vanzy) owners about the issue.
Guys, 3 months every oil change is too short for modern cars. I think pinagkwartahan lang tayo ng casa. If you look at the owner's manual it's now 1 month or 1000km whichever comes first, 5 months or 5k kms 10 months or 10k kms and so on and so forth. It's easy to remember and considering that an average kilometerage is about 1000 km per month. Yung warranty book ang naglagay na 3 months or 5k. It's lawyers who will argue which one to follow considering that both are Toyota's official documents.
