I've also read in the previous thread that since there are some adjustments sa lubrication and the like, mineral oil is better than full synthetic as for now.

In my experience, parang hindi pwedeng manuod during the change oil process.

By the way, also ask for the remaining oil dahil only 5.5 liters lang and ilagay so ask for what is left for future use. otherwise, if you will not ask hindi nila ibigay.

As to the oil filter, they will also change that. The P 1,400 actually includes already the filter. Have a nice day...Happy new year...

Thanks atty! In my case, i got my engine oil sa dealer mismo kaya di sya ganon kamahal.

So kung 6 liters kailangan, times 1.5 the price, medyo mabigat na.

Please take note that if you use an FS oil, the changing of oil is done every 10,000 kms and not 5,000 kms. In between, only a liter is topped up for the lost oil in changing the oil filter.

    Sir Allan,
I have a 2008 Innova G purchased last Aug, ang battery po ay oriental low maintenance.

Yung sa altis mo, during the 4 years was there a time na nag-fill ka nang distilled water as part sa maintenance ng battery? If so, how many times in a year? Sorry, newbie lang po

    ^Regarding refilling battery.

Refilling from time to time is essential in extending the battery's life.
Inspect it every 2 weeks. Using a flash light, you can see if it needs refilling based on the diagrams on owner's manual pg 294. Btw, don't overfill it, otherwise all of the will leak out and cause surface damage on the metal parts your vehicle.

I tried to check the level of the distilled water pero mahirap ma determine. Though I havent tried using a flash light since I make the inspection every morning. I try to do your suggestion this morning. Thanks...

Since you said that you have not ever filled your battery with distilled water, is it possible that during the PMS, casa will check and fill our battery with distilled water?

    It's part of the service.

Thanks. I'm just worried since, I have not tried filling up my battery... In my previous car, maintenance free ang nainstalled ko and indeed its worry free for at least 2 years.

It's not as tedious a task as you think when checking you battery fluid level and adding distilled water when each chamber requires replenishment. During PMS, casas does checks the battery and replenish the fluid as part of the service. If they indeed replenished it, no owner knows until the owner himself is curious enough to check it when the PMS is done. Well then, checking and inspecting is part of maintenance.

I rather fill my own batteries than let the casa do it bec. they might overfill it.

For me, I pour a very small amount of distilled water into a clean glass test tube and from there I pour it into the battery's port. Better to do this in small increments and several times so that you won't end up overfilling the battery. I think this is better than using a funnel since with the test tube you can estimate it out until the proper level is reached.

Maintenance free are very convenient but they don't last. In fact one died (two yrs old only) on our seldomly used CRV.

Thanks on your tip on using a test tube. A good practice indeed, though quite taxing.

I further suggest that after measuring the water, pour it from the test tube into a CATSUP dispenser. You know, like the ones they use at Shawarma stalls for their mustard and mayonnaise, the plastic yellow containers? This way, you won't spill any water upon the final pouring into the smallish battery holes.

Maybe the car was TOO seldomly used, that's why the battery died so quickly.

Owning a vehicle isn't just using it. Maintenance is one. Caring is another. Should an owner performs both, surely it will take care of him/her too.

Well said and I could not say it any way better. The fact that I have been reading these threads as well as posting my questions would show that I am trying my best to see to it that I doing what is right for my Innova. Thanks...

    Thanks for the reminder avonni!

Naging ok daw ung performance saka mas nag improve daw ung FC nya.
