BTW any of you guys installed this back mirror onto your rides? Looks cool and sturdy unlike the stick-on type. San kaya ito available?
Dre I have that back mirror. I bought it sa Hot Rod Store, Banaue. Near RCBC bank. Between siya ng Quezon Av and papuntang Orthopedic. From Quezon Ave siguro mga 3 to 4 blocks lang. PHP 1,300 ang price niya libre pakabit. Better if you print this pix and show to the owner para exacto ang bibigay syo.

    ARB,

I didn't mind much 'coz I already bought all skirts plus the overider from the casa here in Cebu. ^_^

This is the reason I'm settling on mineral oil for my car, at least I'll be changing oil and oil filters every 5K. The cost of synthetic oil is twice as much, that is why they want it to last twice at 10K, but in breaking period initial spike of metal wear are great during at least the initial 0-20K run. People tend to think that they are doing just right if they use synthetic oil and skip the 5K PMS, again think it over.
This is also what I thought about when I was on my early 5K and 10K series of PMS - to change the oil and filter regularly and at the same time have my engine and importantly my brakes checked. However, when I shifted back again to using fully synthetic, I really have experienced na mas malakas humatak on low gears, and mas matulin sa rektahan ung D4D ko and mas less vibration and less engine vibration w/c I really observed reaching the 80-90Km on the speedometer. Also, when aggressive driving is needed or necessary during rush hours and moderate traffic [where you need to race the engine para makasingit o hindi masingitan.. hehehe] ramdam ko ung difference.

Pero the idea that convinced me to using fully synthetic is - to take into advantage or optimize the engine performance while the engine is still new. Pag luma na kasi ung engine, hindi na advisable mag-fully synthetic.

My mindset now is just to recover the PHP 1500-2000 difference for the next 10K PMS [maybe around next 6 moths] in some other ways like doing extra OT.

    Just my ten cents worth..

usually they concentrate only the status of your car under the hood like coolant level, brake fluid level, change oil and oil filters but you can ask for more checks if you found something unusual sa ride mo have it inform them and fixed labor is free...normal pms will cost you 1.5-2k (change oil/filter)...

thanks sir saipeme... i will inform my wife about those things to do during the 1K pms... out of the country rin kasi ako to work... i learned on this forum na maganda ang performance ng synthetic oil compare to mineral oil... mas mahal nga lang... i think i try to use it also...

    Hi,

i've just got my new innova g a/t gas few weeks ago,
i would like to ask for ur opinions,
should i use fully synthetic oil for my first 1000km check up?
i went to ace hardware yesterday to check the price of Mobil super synthetic 10w/40, which is abount 470pesos / L.
i know that is good engine oil but im wondering if it's a wise choice.
470pesos x 7 liter, i need to spend P3290 for the check up and another P3290 for 5000km check up, unlike 1.5k~2k in casa.

my concerns are all about engine performance and fuel efficiency,
if the fuel efficiency performs better using fully synthetic oil,
    i would choose mobil 10w/40.
but if the oil provided by casa is ok and satisfied, i may not spend more for that.

if u were me, how would u choose between the 2 ?

huangyenhao, congrats on new ride. You'll enjoy it.

I started using fully synthetic oil (Toyota) on my first 1K km. I don't know though if using fully syntheic oil would contribute to the fuel efficiency.

dont think using full synthetic oil on the 1st 1k km check up is practical because you should still change the oil on the 5k km pms. sayang lang considering the high price of fully synthetic oil. Casa, in fact, advise using fully synthetic oil around 20k pms because then you can have the next change oil after the next 10k instead of the usual every 5k

using synthetic oil will not guarantee of more millage or better fuel effeciency... lesser noise, lesser vibration, run smoother and more confident on your ride is the advantage of using synthetic oil. yong peace of mind ay mataas ika nga...the oil provided in casa of course you will be satisfied, the use of synthetic oil for 1k PMS is actually not recommended by casa it is the owner choice who loves most on thier ride...if you are in tight budget at the moment i would suggest you skip your synthetic oil on your next PMS...to me the ideal time to use synthetic oil is on 10k PMS though i use it earlier i will still use synthetic oil on my next oil change (7.5k)...

hmmm.. what if i forgot about the 1000km check up? i got the Black 2.0 G Gas last month and was so satisfied about the ride making me forget the 1000km mark.. meter reads at 1700km already.. will that have some effect on the engine ? it will cost 1,500 to 2,000 pesos for the change oil and everything sa casa? or labor pa lang yun?

Based on what my agent said. Ina-allow po ng Toyota na hanggang 2,000km yung 1st PMS ng Innova. I paid around 1,500 (can't remember the exact amount) for the mineral oil and filter for my 1,000km PMS. The labor is free.

Thks bro. Mas preferred ko sana kung maggaling sa club natin para I would know kung kanino galing and I feel more confident. Might have a problem lalo na kung galing sa mga banaue stores.
