    yap na post ko to sa sulit for sale pero hindi na forsale since di ko na kailangan pera. nag change unit kasi ako ng taxi unit. brandnew crosswind sana ipalit ko pero may nakuha na ako mas mura na 2007 model (second hand) na adventure gx pampalit sa phase out unit na taxi ko. ayon nagkasya yong budget ko kaya di na kailangan ibenta fx ko. tapos ang babarat pa kasi mga tumatawad noon sa fx kaya i decided to go for a second hand unit instead of a brand new one.


    generic lang yong mags ko na 14" na naka offset. tire size is 195x60x14. pwede rin 185x65x14. halos magkapareho lang yong diameter nong dalawa na yan. mas malapad nga lang yong 195x60. kahit ano 5 holes na 14 mags pwede dyan pero mas maganda yong naka offset para labas yong gulong. pwede rin sana yong 15 mags pero medyo hihina hatak nya unless mag low profile tire ka pero matagtag naman.

    Ngayon ko lang nakita 'tong thread na 'to...

    When I've got this in 2002, kalbo lahat ng gulong, puro langitngit (matagal di na-greasing) at kalog ang suspension/underchassis. Di malaman kung saan napupunta ang engine oil (lakas manunog ng oil), puro kalawang ang chassis/body so walang kwenta ang paint nya (1994 base model 'to by the way). Tamang umandar lang... Ex-company service vehicle sya.

    After a 'thousands' of pesos, countless hours of DIY (last engine swap was DIY), and unmeasurable amount of sweat, ayan na sya.



    Its 'heart' (4th engine nya na 'to --- syempre dito ako pinaka-happy).


    1st engine: 2C - wala na
    2nd engine: 2C (Japan) - eto engine nya nung nakuha namin -- where sobrang mausok na sya at nangangain ng langis.
    3rd engine: 2C-T (Japan)- Ako nagpakabit... I was happy for quite a bit until tumakaw na rin sya at sobrang mausok na. Instead of overhauling/calibration of injection pump, I decided to swap na lang ulit (since I've got a very sweet deal sa dun sa next engine)...
    4th engine: 4A-GE 16V (red top) - Had quite a few problems with the drivetrain (weight of FX vs. engine power). After a few 'thousands' of pesos again (palit ng tranny at maraming pa-machine shop), ayos na ayos na sya.

    Engine: 4A-GE 16V (red top AKA high horse fitted with blue top/TVIS cams) properly wired/fully functioning EFI system, cone type intake system, Mallory 6EZL capacitive discharge ignition system, Splitfire spark plug wires
    Exhaust: customized 1.75" 4-2-1 headers (with thermal wrap), 2" pipes, 24" resonator, and Apexi Super Megaphone (JASMA certified)
    Interior: Re-upholstered by Seatmate (ceiling, sidings, and seats), Nardi Classic steering wheel, customized dual aircon system (since base model, this is originally single aircon only).
    Audio: Pioneer DEH-P7450MP Targa front seps, coax rear and 10" sub (installation all DIY)
    Wheels: 'Wildcard' 15" alloy wheels with 205/65/15 (front 2 Nexen CP-641/rear 2 Goodyear Ducaro GA)
    Paint: Not so good anymore kasi almost 5 years na sya. Marami na ulit kalawang at bula (di maiwasan sa lumang sasakyan)

    nice fx you got there. ganyan din plano ko noon pero kinulang ako sa budget. marami yata gagawing conversion dyan.

    maybe you can share the complete details kung papaano mo ginawa yong change engine mo so we can have idea. paki sama na rin yong cost nong bawat conversion. ganda talaga nyan lalo na sa mga mahilig magkarera.

    I know both of those guys na naka-4A-GE din... In fact, ako yung nang-demonyo dun sa isa (si bosstl) na 4A-GE na lang din ang ilagay. Hehe...

    Regarding dun sa langitngit sa rear part, napansin ko galing sya sa leaf springs... Ewan ko lang kung dun sa mga bushing na nag-hohold sa kanya or dun galing mismo sa nag-kikiskisisang leaves during flexing... Medyo malaking trabaho magkalas at mababa nun para lang i-grease or para palitan ng bushing....

    Well, its kinda hard to explain how we did it... basta puro conversion... Pati engine supports (medyo mahirap pag-align nito)...

    Sorry, I have lost track kung magkano na lahat ang nagastos ko... Surely more than what my FX is worth...

    sir essb, grabe astig ng fx mo. kmusta naman po ung performance ng 4A-GE sa fx?mabilis ba compared sa 7k? nga pla pwede din kaya ang 4A-GE 20v silvertop sa fx?

    ^^^Sobrang layo fafi sa tabo ng 7K... even sa 7K-E or 1RZ-E ng Revo...

    Kung 20v ST, mas maraming conversion... kailangan baguhin yung position ng intake plenum, at kailangan pang magtabas ng firewall para sa distributor. Tsaka mas maganda pa rin ang low-end torque ng 16v 4A-GE for better city driving sa mabigat na FX.

    My fuel consumption: Medyo matakaw... mabigat din kasi ang paa ko eh.. On pure city driving (kasama heavy traffic with aircon always on) na may pasundot-dot na hataw (all the way to red 1st to rd all the way to red line) 6km/l lang.... On pure highway my best so far is about 12km/l kasama hataw.
