To those who own Tamaraw FXs, please post your comments and experiences with this car.

I really love our diesel Tamaraw. We currently own a 2002 Revo VX200 and 2005 Hyundai Getz and our old tamaraw is my favorite to drive. It has great handling and the visibility is just incredible. We have already clocked 173,000kms on it and it still runs great (compared to our revo which developed a noisy suspension and a whizzzing engine at 40K kms). And the great part is I get 14 kms per liter!

Mga sir Newbie po!I have my tamaraw fx turbo diesel 2.0d, lately 3rd owner na po ako and hindi ko pa din kabisado ang pag maintain ng FX, like tire press other things to know sa pag maintain nito, at pa ano ko po mapapa-abot din sa 14km/L ang FC nito.Any info is great help ...thanks a lot more power

Mga sir's,Tanong lang po! regarding maintenance ng FX diesel, 1) change oil - how many km(best oil brand)2) tire pressure F/R - my set 35psi F / 40psi R - recommended?3) oil seals brake how many km to replace?4) transmission/differencial oil how many km to replace?5) brake pads how many km to check?6) ave fuel consuption ng fx diesel(common)?7) fuel / air filter how many km to replace?any help? I don't own a fx but I recall the tires are not that big for a 40 psi... not sure though...

Mga bossing...ask ko lang kung wala ng magagawa sa lakas ng gas consumption ng Tamaraw FX? i have one.... model 99 1.8 gas, consuming about 5-6kms per liter. matindi pa nman ngaun ang price ng gasoline. Thnx...

My neighbor's FX was converted to LPG, had the tank behind the 2nd row seat and just adjust the 2 side facing seats backwards. Very nice installation of tank, concealed within a box

we have tamaraw fx 97 7k engine 170+++ ang odo..ayos nmn maganda parin ang takbo.. matakaw nga lng sa gas 7-8km/l.. kaso mdyo may problema ehh.. mahirap istart kaylangan mo laruin ung starter para mag start ang engine? ano kaya sira nito?at tanong ko lng po natural lang ba sa fx ang painitin mo muna bago mo itakbo?kasi ung fx namin kaylangan painit mo muna mga 5mins bago patakbuhin..pagpinatakbo mo naman na hindi mo pinainit mamatay ang makina..natural lang po ba un sa mga fx natin?

I know someone who replaced their gas engines to diesel engines. Yung sa mazda b series daw mas ok kasi cheaper than the toyota 2c engines.

Yung 7k malakas sa gas. Used to own a diesel one pero transplanted with 2ct engine. Change oil lang every 5k with Rimula black and you're good to go. Haaay I miss my Fx!

also, need your expert advise/recommendation as to what type of engine oil to use to my TFX '97 gas engine (at least 3 brands for my comparison)..just got my tam last March 2012 (3rd owner), am planning to sched my change oil this month...

mga sir newbie here ! have tamaraw fx 1.8L 7k, matagal ko na po problema ung back fire ng sasakyan.. pina-change oil, tune up, palit spark plug, timing , binaba na rin yung carburator kahit tubo ng tambutso pero hind pa rin magawa.. help naman baka my irerefer po kayo na mechanic specialist s ganito..

hello good day mga people...

i have a tamaraw fx GL 7k gasoline and i did some modifications on it. i change the carburator with a suzuki alto and its just fits perfectly of course with some modifications. the reason why i change the carburator was because of fuel consumption, i want to have more mileage because my old fuel consumption was 1 liter will run 5km in city driving and now that i have change the carburator with the suzuki alto the fuel consumption is still the same or maybe there is a little difference of .5 of liter save than before... i wonder what would be the problem since the jet of the suzuki alto is much smaller than that of an fx.... please help
