November 1st, 2013 11:39 AM #1721good review yung nabasa ko its just a lingering question na " if toyota made a considerable improvements in suspension and noise-vibration-harshness (NVH) lessening " then why marami akong nabasa in this forum regarding suspension and kalampag/ kapok issues regarding the 3rd gen. bios?
a few weeks ago I managed to talk to one of the toyota SA's in trinomia..and the SA told me that most vios or I think all 3rd gen. vios are "locally assembled units" compared to Toyota Altis which is assembled in Thailand... hope somebody can clarify or shed some light about this...

November 1st, 2013 04:09 PM #1726Lesser NVH compared to the previous gen.
My innova vvti is quieter ,lesser vibrations and more comfortable than this vios. For me its a city car rather than a car for long drives.

November 1st, 2013 11:08 PM #1728Got my new Vios yesterday. 1.3E a/t gray metallic. Free tint, sear cover, floormats, rain visor, 300 pesos gas and umbrella. Loving the drive pero pansin ko nga na mas ramdam yung vibrations compared to my innova. Pero understandable since magkaiba sila ng category. Also, walang sound that indicates na yung gear is nasa reverse (not the backing sensor sound). Currently at 10 km/liter. Dalhin namin tom from Laguna to Bataan... hopefully the fc improves.

I would just like to be enlightened about dun sa review in which it says "Lesser NVH compared sa previous gen, ng Vios" marami kase kme nabasa dito sa thread about sa mga "kalampag issues ng new Vios" even though na na improve yung mga noise vibrations... I was just hoping to know IF
* connected yung pagiging locally assembled ng Vios unit sa mga kalampag issues

it has nothing to do if it's locally assembled or not. as i stated in my previous post, vios from 2005 up to present were all assembled locally. so how come that the 1st gen and 2nd gen vios were not plagued by these kalampag issues? so do not blame the 3rd gen vios for being locally assembled. IMO, craftsmanship of locally assembled units are sometimes even better compared to Thai CBUs or Korean CBUs. E.g. the interior of my 2008 2nd gen Vios is aging better than my company-issued 2012 Hyundai Accent GL or our company fleet Zuk Celerio.
As for NVH level, Vios is an economy car so do not expect that NVH level will be similar with Camry or Altis.
For minimum/daily wage earners, sayang yung extra day. Last night in the news there was one would...
