when i switched from fuel save to nitro+, nag improve ako. once ko palang ginamit sa nlex, from manila to tarlac * 120-140 km/h... that's approx 200km balikan.. now, nasa 700 pa din odo ko since weekend ko lang naman talaga sya nagagamit since i got the unit in october..

May naririnig na naman ako pinging sound. Medyo inclined kaunti yung road at pati doon sa flat din. Narinig ko lang nung nag shift sa 2nd gear na. Ano kaya to? Nawala na to dati nung nagpalit ako ng gas mula xcs papunta nitro+. At nung 5k palang odo ko noon. Ngayon nasa 26k na ako.

Same gas station lang ako mula noon ang nagbago lang sa gamit ko ay madalas yung short trip ngayon. 3-4 kms lang every trip pag weekdays at long trip naman pag weekends. May kinalaman kaya yung madalas na short trip? Dati kasi laging nasa 15kms every trip pag weekdays.

usually longer than the warranty period. only once did my battery die within that period. hey! i got a new battery for it.
keeping the battery fully charged may improve its service life.
ask your car cartaker to fire up your car once a week, to prevent storage degeneration..
you might also want to keep that motolite delivery phone number around... heh heh.

If you don't notice any improvement in FC or responsiveness with higher octane fuel, then just stick to the cheapest one.

As long as you meet the minimum octane rating, it should be okay.

95 octane fuel gamit ko. Total Excellium.
Wala namang pinagbago sa hatak yan lang problema ko, kind of noisy ang engine compared sa Toyota Revo na gas namin dati na halos di mo rinig andar ng makina pag idle.

Hey guys, maayung hapon. My Silver is turning a month old this 15th. Just wanna say thank you for this forum for helping come up with a well informed decision for my 1st brand new car choice. I know there's a lot more to learn of our baby that's why I am eagerly back reading your thoughts. Keep them coming.

Just have one concern though which i know had been discussed already on this forum but i just forgot what page was that. About the "knocking sound on the dashboard", how was that resolved?

Got 12.03 km/L with my last fill-up in mixed driving (70% highway-30% city).

Earlier after filling up, I was averaging 15-16 km/L in NLEX traveling at 100-140 kph. But when I hit A. Bonifacio I was stuck in traffic for over 2 hours until Dasma. That was less than 20 km but I consumed the same fuel as my trip from Pampanga-Balintawak. So I assume right now I'm at 10-11 km/L.

One more thing I noticed, the 1.3 is just merely adequate for highway driving, even with only 1 passenger.

Reaching triple digit speeds is possible but at a sedate rate. If you're traveling at 90 already and need to overtake at 120, you'll need to kick down to 3rd gear and floor the pedal just to get any sense of acceleration. And mind you, that acceleration is still nowhere near a 2-liter at half throttle.

Then again, most people never even drive that fast.

On the contrary, I find the Vios' suspension to be pretty well-sorted.

I've driven all generations of the Vios and City and this one is better than all its predecessors. Not too soft (like the Accent) but not too stiff either. The damping and rebound is also good, unlike the GM City which felt very crashy.

Cabin isn't floaty and so it feels fine at high speeds too (unfortunately it's the engine that gives up first), though it's still very susceptible to crosswinds from trucks and buses especially with the skinny 185 tires.
