    I have the same annoyance with my 2002 Nissan Exalta GS. I just press the "recirculate" button twice before driving off to lock the setting.

    Good to hear! Wish there was a permanent way to set it up.

    What temp do you set the AC to - mine is currently at 21 degrees. A bit cold for me, but whenever I turn the temp higher (23 degrees for example), it feels like the AC stops and parang fan lang. I'll experiment with different temps this weekend.

    You know I think I experienced something like this before. That's why I set it to 20 or 21.

    set the temp to 23 degrees. worked fine. AC didn't blow as strong, but probably because 23 degrees is not too far off from outside temp.

    guys medyo stupid question...but i tried removing the AUTO mode, d ko magawa...ang natatanggal ko lang is un FULL sa tabi ng AUTO.
    I tried all buttons, d ko talga matanggal...

    hehehe read the manual, wala nman ako nabasa na pde mawala un AUTO mode...kc pag pinindot ko un AUTO button...lumalabas un FULL AUTO and pushing that button again will only remove the FULL....kaya at times nag rerecirculate pa din un aircon...any ideas?

    hehee i feel like a noob...

    "FULL" disappears every time you fiddle with the other buttons (ie. recirculate, fan speed, etc..)

    *flex, IMO, you can't remove "AUTO" kasi auto-climate sya. Yung "FULL" lang mawawala.

    aah alright i just thought i missed anything coz even if in non FULL AUTO mode...it sometimes switches to the recirculate option on its own which allows outside air to flow in...weird...

    *flex,

    if I don't want to outside air to come in - here's what I do:

    1. turn on AC by pressing AUTO;
    2. press [recirculate] button once, FULL disappears but check icon - it will show that outside air will come in;
    3. press [recirculate] button again, icon will show that no outside air will be allowed.

    This always works for me. at sana naintindihan mo instructions ko

    Finally got my 2012 Subaru Forester XS last weekend!

    It's everything I dreamed it would be. Can't wait to take it on a road trip this weekend

    congrats! natuloy ka ba sa AVT head unit upgrade? If so, when you've used it a bit, can you do a mini-review - especially interested in the rear camera and the GPS.

    Thanks April_Ryan! Yup, they gave me the AVT head unit.

    Here are my initial impressions on the head unit:

    Pros:
    - Updated GPS system. I just input my destination and it gives very accurate directions. We got lost in Laloma the first time i got the car and the GPS was able to find the way back
    - Easy to navigate iPod connectivity. It can display playlists, songs, artists, albums, etc.
    - Very nice bluetooth connectivity. It shows me all my contacts and call history on screen.
    - Rear camera is great. I can see if I'm going to hit an object or not.

    Cons
    - feels like the touchscreen is resistive instead of capacitive.
    - navigation isn't as smooth as modern smartphones.
    - navigating FM and AM stations are a chore.

    All those features you listed are present in the '12 Forester 2.0 XS and 2.5 XT.

    Is it just me or does the Forester's headlight illuminate only the road a few feet ahead? Has anyone adjusted it so that the reach is further down?

    Also noticed this. End up using the high beam (if there are no incoming vehicles).
