Forester diesel, walang plan ang MI. That's the latest I got from Nikcy.

any specifics on what "new trim" means for the '11 Fozzie?

replacing the A/T transmission of the XT with a 6 speed manual transmission from an STi to make your XT an M/T. or you could you the 5 speed transmission of the WRX which is cheaper.

Anyone here has already done this? Can you share your experience and and estimate how much this will cost?

i agree with this. the difference between the 2011 and 2010 fxt isn't that much anyway.

For me, if there won't be much of a diff betw current and 2011 FXT models, I'll go for the current. Especially if MI offers discounts and other financing packages to quickly move out current inventory to make way for the new model. Does MI do this?

Yes they do. like yung 08 Legacy, for instance, noong maalapit na ilabas yung current Legacy, 250k off sa estate and 150k off sa sedan.

mtan888, either way, you'll end up with a brilliant car. if you really need a car, go ahead and get one now. otherwise, if you can afford to wait, maybe it'll be worth it for you.

I'm planning on getting a 2.5XT but am concerned about the PMS. Since there's only one dealer - MI on EDSA, my questions are:

1. How long does servicing take, i.e. whole day?
2. Once the warranty expires, would you recommend having it serviced elsewhere? Which shops in the Makati area would you recommend?
3. Are parts easy to obtain from aftermarket dealers? Are they reasonably priced?

1. i usually go there at 8am for service, sometimes i'm 1st in line most of the time 4th. they usually finish it around 10-11am, so it takes half day to finish the service.
2. it's up to you if you want it serviced some where else to save money. in makati area orange performance can do all the work for you since their shop specialize in subaru's
3. there are a couple of shops that sells aftermarket parts for subaru's like orange, speedlab, garage one and fusionR. for oem parts fusionR would be the best place to buy or you can always check subaruclub.ph and subarusociety.org for members selling oem parts. MI's oem parts are very over priced.

IIRC the BMW 325i has approx 193hp as compared to the Santa Fe diesel' 150hp.

I just want to react on this. If i see a Santa Fe at SLEX i just smile because any time i want to race it cannot over take me. I have a BMW320d 177Hp 350Nm stock. I recently added a tuning box from Belgium it is now 211Hp with 410Nm. But i don't always race, i'm a cool driver. There is just some time that i am fist-off with some cars that gusto ko silang ipahiya....yon lang sa akin.
