    Yes, it seems that the Forester will get a "new engine" thta boasts of "improved fuel economy". It's now packing a chain driven double overhead cam versus the belt driven single overhead cam before. This is the link: http://www.autoblog.com/tag/2011SubaruForester/

    Just wanna ask coz i'm considering of getting forester xt before the end of the month. Just wanna ask if my NAVI system ba xa? I havent been to MI pa kasi kaya I don't have a clue. sa website naman nakakalito some has it some wala.

    I don't think this engine will be the one installed in the 2011 foresters. At least not here in the Philippines.

    I dont think this is even the new engine installed in the 2011 US Foresters. Correct me if I'm wrong but the "New" engine that's installed in the 2011 US foresters is still the old boxer engine with a few upgrades such as the chain belt.

    Not applicable to the Philippines because USDM is not the version released here.

    *strutot, yes at least 95 RON. Some uses Caltex Gold, some use V-Power, some XCS lang (ala daw gains compared to the Blaze)

    I believe whether it be USDM or PHDM, it still uses the same 2.5 turbo. So whatever upgrades there is, it should also be available here soon.

    It seems potential buyers for the 2.0 are getting a raw deal bec. it seems Subaru will not be introducing upgrades to it in the same manner as the 2.5.

    The new engines are not turbo, they're 2.0 NA and 2.5 NA.
