Wow. That's good because most compact SUVs (Outlander, Rav4, etc...) don't have this feature even on top of the line model... but I agree, sayang ang lost sales to those who want to get their unit ASAP

2.0 base model also comes with power driver seat, HID (low), pop up washer kaya sulit na sulit. You can have your unit by 2nd to 3rd week ng december if you reserve one now

Ganda talaga nito. Sya lang ang 5 star review sa isang website dito sa atin on its class and price range.
Ford and Mitsu dont have the best after sales service. Ford for one bans customers if you do get on their bad side. Bawal ito sa DTI or in any establishment but they get away with it. Ford is not built tough, after sales service masama except for few dealers. Kampi sa dealer yan as expected. That's a strong indicator on how sales is. Good luck sa yo if you go this route.

As for me, I really want to buy a forester and Im getting it next wk na. Ganda rep ng MI lalo na sa after sales which is 99 percent of what's important sa car purchase.

AFAIK, the Diesel Forester was petitioned by Australia and it was granted verbally pero that was quite recent and there's no info todate WHICH countries will get it other than Australia man lang so palagay ko 'in the pipeline' pa lang ito.

We're just hoping kasama ang Pinas.

After sales? What after sales? Subbies don't need freakin after sales. heehee. Joke.

Seriously, reliability ratings for FHI-based subs are right up there with da-Hon and Toyota. It's got quirks but nothing major nor nothing you can't get help with from from forums like scp and subaruforester.org.

So far, after 18 months and 20k kms, all I've encountered are a busted seat adjuster knob, minor coolant loss, and very sensitive Traction Control settings. No rattles or engine or build-quality issues.

Also, philippine fozzies are reportedly made by Prodrive UK unlike their US counterparts. You can expect amazing tranny performance and be envied by US-based Foz owners.

A caveat though about the coolant loss. This is apparently quite common though very minor (from the hose junctions stirred up by the engine HEAT IMHO). Pansin ko lang the car seems to prefer Subaru coolant so you might want to buy some after the second service interval.

Oh service intervals are every 10k kms. Inaagahan ko lang by 2500 kms for the times when I make her go hard.

We've had a Ford Lynx, a Honda Jazz, a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Mazda 323.

I honestly haven't had a bad experience in any. Minsan may nakasabay ako sa Ford, galit na galit sya, but I heard his argument and he was REALLY arrogant. I guess its how you deal with people. Besides, marami pa rin naman bumibili, so i think what you are pointing out are isolated cases.

But I agree, pagdating sa after sales, the best ang MI. Besides, every 12,500km ang PMS. All I'm saying is, I'm not writing off Mitsu or Ford because of after sales issues that I haven't experienced :D
