Yes reset the Trip A or Trip B or both. i believe you cannot reset the odo back to zero. to measure accurately your FC with mano mano compute, you have to always do a full tank every refill. otherwise if you only rely on trip computer, no need to do a full tank everytym ako kasi palaging full tank everytym so that i can compare the trip computer to mano mano compute

Thanks sir. I did reset na the Trip A and Trip B meter yesterday. So far one Friday worth of traffic and a brief skyway got me around 6.67km/l. FC went as high as around 10km/l in the morning then went downhill na

if its not much to ask sir, please record your every fill ups (liters filled, kms travelled, FC on trip computer) so that we can compare notes i noticed a slight increase on FC when i do full tank of blaze whenever i get the chance to when im in metro manila

I will sir. I have an android app where I can keep records of my fuel fill ups, I'll be filling it up full tank every time. I haven't tried Blaze yet, but I was thinking nga that it could improve FC as per manual, but whether the fuel savings is higher (compared to Blaze cost) we have to find that out pa.

hahaha a good question sir! im more positive that our FC wont vary that much with each other, although there are other factors at play here, like driving habit, route, etc. If ever there's a significant difference, then the one with the lower FC can have his car checked.

Since i was one of the very first owner of the XT, i had to deal with the engine check problem 1 week after the purchase, actually its not just the engine light that lits up, the descent control, transmission oil temp, and a couple of others also lits up constantly, and it displays some error/warning on the MID. i cant even select sport sharp during those times, it happned twice before i went to casa agen. what they did i think was they reprogrammed the ECU, apparently there was an "upgrade" daw from subaru head office. the way i see it, parang motherboard lang ng computer, parang flashing of bios, the technician was done in 15min. im watching him do it during the upgrade and he's tinkling with his laptop, turn on and off the engine, set the shift knob to specific slot, then he's done. since then didn't encounter the problem.

yung mga later units that was released, i think was already upgraded. kala ko nga nung irereprogram titipid yung FC, baka kako me maling setting lang kasi i was just getting 8km/L sa hiway pauwi ng province. but it didn't do much on the FC. i have videoed the error on my cam, il upload it on youtube if i find the way how to upload.

Could it be sir that maybe the reason you are getting 8km/l sa highway is because your FC has been dragged down already by city driving before you arrive at the highway, so it will be hard to average out the fuel consumption? However, if you reset your trip meter when you are in the highway and still get the 8km/l then that's a different story.

Ako kasi yesterday, before leaving the house, I reset the Trip meter A, relax driving for 15-20 mins and got around 12.4l/100km, which is already 8km/l. Then I took skyway from Magallanes to Makati and got the 12.4 down to 10.2l/100km or 9.80km/l. I was cruising at around 90-100kph with rpm at around 1800, driving in Intelligent Mode.

EDIT: You guys hearing rattling sounds while driving on rough surfaces? Hindi ko mahanap, while driving, it sounds as if nasa likod ko sya, but earlier today I asked someone else to drive and I sat at the back, and it sounded like nasa harap naman.

nung minsan pagsampa ko ng skyway from buendia, yung trip B nireset ko while im using cruise control at maintained speed of 80kph only, for around 10min of driving, i was able to get 7L/100kms or 14.29kms/L shempre hindi yan real world, experiment lang, you really cant use cruise control for long since merong tym na me nakaharang na sa daan and you have to slow down.

4th Gen USDM Forester XT requires 98 RON. 4th Gen PHDM Forester XT requires 95 RON. I go with whatever station has 95 RON that is either Shell/Petron/Caltex.

Flying V, SeaOil, etc are options but they are of the last resort.

Lots of info there, mas marami sila na didiscuss na hindi masyado na didiscuss dito, including problems, accessories, engine tuning possibilities (I think it will be possible to tune our engine to around the same hp as the JP spec soon), fuel mileage, etc. May mga pinoy din dun sir. That's where I read all about the Check engine light problem, etc.

Ah I see sir, yeah 8km/l combined sounds about right I think, pansin ko lang so far, malakas talaga sa gas yung XT pag full stop, or bumper to bumper traffic. It performs very well on the move in terms of saving fuel lalo na pag naka cruise at the right speed. Makes me hope na sana meron sila nung auto shutoff ng engine during full stop.

Sayang hindi nila pinasok yung Eyesight dito, maybe sa 2014 or 2015 PH models meron na. That would solve the highway cruising problem with the adaptive cruise control

Sir congrats on your XT. Which branch gave you your unit? I got mine from Alabang, but Greenhills was offering me a unit na rin, na late nga lang sila ng 2 days.

I got mine from alabang, originally sa greenhills sa na meron na ako unit na white , kaya lang white na ang suv namin , kaya change to silver color I call greenhills kaya lang wala sila stock na silver , them I call up alabang meron daw sila. Can anybody experience getting back there reservations fee and how long it took?

I think the last two virtual gears are overdrive. Its a simulated gearset anyway coming from the cvt electronics
