Personally, I'd go with the Forester as it's a more useful package and also priced lower than the XV.

We have XV premium. If you like a techy car dash with more built in accessories like paddle shift, LCD display etc, go for XV. Pero kung priority mo new body, forester would be awesome choice

Shopping around din for a new car for my wife's car plan and we're more inclined with the Forester.

Actually, kung apples to apples, dapat XV base vs Forester base. Pero mas ok forester since it has larger space inside and is a true CUV. Yung XV is essentially a jacked-up Impreza. Though mas gwapo black & silver wheels ng XV.

Got mine at Roadstar in Makati. Price was around 2,000++, ride quality improved tremendously.

Wow. Parang this is a great car compare to the santafe. But what about their fuel consumption?

Fuel consumption you'll get 7-8 Normal City Driving on the Forester. Heavy Traffic you'll have 5-6km. On the highways you'll get 12-13km/L.

    FB20 has a timing chain.

No timing belt, unlike its predecessor, the EJ20.

    thanks sir number001..

im just wondering why the 40k maintenance check was so expensive and i just thought that it was probably due to the replacement of the timing belt. still cant justify the cost

    again thanks!

Automatic Transmission Fluid is replaced during 40K PM, 11 liters, at around P1K per liter, that is why it is expensive.
