March 14th, 2013 12:29 PM #141Thats the sad part, the base is not easily upgradable to the XT type reverse camera.
The XT is definitely the sweet deal as it has a DI engine and a Turbo plus everything else, but the price!!! Totally worth what your getting, but its just out of my cost comfort zone. Since I dint know that the base is not a direct injection I'll add that to the revised list of the things I wish the base had: DI engine, reverse camera, paddle shifters, sports# and better rims. I havent seen any comments around here but perhaps a 6AT would have been better than the CVT...
In the power comparison charts its a bit wanting considering the CX-5 has a more powerful engine, which I think can be matched if they used the DI from the XT.

The only time I got to use the sunroof in my XT was in Subic, at night and on the NLEX, also at night. Decided to close it when I was about to overtake some buses. Knowing the Pinoy's bad habit of throwing things or worse, spitting out their windows, I thought, "Better safe than sorry."

March 16th, 2013 06:51 PM #143I have my FXT tinted with Vkool V70 all around plus sunroof. What I recommend if you are on a budget. High heat rejection tint on the windshield and the rest you do with normal tint. I do not recommend having the sunroof tinted with high heat rejection reason; although there is high heat rejection, there is also heat being stored on the glass due to the heat rejecting tint parang greenhouse effect. You can however tint the sunroof with normal tint and it will work fine. Our SF3 uses normal 3m tint on all glass windows including sunroof, except windshield where more heat is evident in my opinion and experience. disclaimer, although in comparison the SF3 is new and has a panoramic sunroof it may be also due to the glass technology used with it which rejects the heat without any help from heat rejecting tint.
Our sunroof shade is always open except on days when the sun is up on its temper, hot and glaring.

March 20th, 2013 01:55 AM #147got my unit, pearl white 2.0 XT
FC is 11.4 liters per 100km according to trip computer (8.77km/L). did full tank, consume, then full tank again. my mano mano compute is 8.05km/L. from alabang going to makati via skyway with occasional WOT, then makati to quezon province via slex and national hiway with lots of WOT for overtaking hehe.
travelled: 153.75km
refilled fuel: 19.08 liters
km/L: 8.05km/L 20% city, 80% hiway, with lots of WOT
im sure i can improve this by not spooling the turbo too much
loaded 56 liters of petron blaze 100 ron fuel from alabang (full tank)
reloaded 19.08 liters of XCS only at quezon province (full tank), since no blaze available
