Making matters worse, the arrival of winter is expected to drive more people indoors, where poor airflow makes transmission more likely. The Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays could also be troublesome if people break their social distancing habits to gather in large, unmasked groups to share meals.

The virus has also been surging in Europe in recent weeks, with lines of ambulances seen parked outside hospitals in Italy awaiting beds, while in France the government coronavirus tracking app puts intensive care capacity taken up by Covid-19 patients at 92.5 per cent and rising.

Intensive care is the last line of defence for severely ill coronavirus patients and Europe is running out of beds, and the doctors and nurses to staff them. In country after country, the burden is nearing and sometimes surpassing levels last seen at spring’s peak.

Sorry sa mga Republican but I think that is a possibility only in the red states.

I'm actually glad this is the first vaccine to get approval. Western countries have more capability of distributing this one given the storage requirements. This will hopefully make the supply of the other vaccines with easier storage requirements available to us faster. If it were the other way around we might wait a lot longer.

Tama yan. Without the transparency, good governance, openess and sound science behind this, expect some debilitating side effects from their populace next year from CHINA WUHAN VIRUS country.

Of course, all hush hush ito, under wraps, detain whistleblowers and change the narrative quick, so we will really never know
