Both types of face shield are open at the sides naman so no difference between them in practice.
It's really the mask that prevents one from inhaling the virus. Face shield just keeps hands and splashes (or a stranger's spittle?) away from face.
This makes me rethink of doing dine in. Kahit 6 feet apart ka pa sa ibang customers since air conditioned delikado pa rin.
56 people in a Starbucks in Paju, South Korea tested positive for COVID-19 after 1 infected patient visited the store. However, the workers all tested negative – why? Because they work a mask throughout the entirety of their shift. : Coronavirus

ipost ko yung mas detalyado ah
minalas kasi tumambay pa stationary lang nakaupo. Yung mga empleyado eh pagalaw-galaw yanThe number of COVID-19 cases linked to a Starbucks in Paju, South Korea, has increased to 56 people. However, it has been found that no workers were infected.
On the second floor, 30-year-old A stayed inside the Starbucks for two hours, transmitting the virus to 56 more people inside.
The fast spread is not surprising given that there were six air conditioners on the second floor.
The four workers all tested negative. Why?
The reason is simple:
The workers, despite going to both the first and the second floor numerous number of times, wore their KF94 masks throughout the entirety of their shift.
Experts say this must have been the reason why they all tested negative. When wearing a mask, the amount of germs that can enter the mouth is highly unlikely.
Experts in South Korea highly advise people to wear a mask whenever they possibly can

Filipinos among volunteers in vaccine's Phase 3 trials in UAE - Manila Bulletin
Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Hjayceelyn Quintana commended the hundreds of Filipino nurses and volunteers who took part in the potential COVID-19 vaccine trials, during her recent visit at the Group 42 (G42) healthcare station located at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The ADNEC trial site is touted to be the biggest of its kind in the world. Since July 16, 2020, the potential vaccine has been administered to over 15,000 people of various nationalities, including Filipino volunteers.
UAE-based Filipino journalist Neil Bie, one of the first Filipinos to volunteer in the trial, said his motivation in joining was to express his gratitude to the UAE government for caring for all foreign residents during the pandemic the same way it treats its own citizens.
At the facility, Dr. Zaher introduced Quintana to the Filipino nurses working at the site and expressed UAE’s appreciation for the role they play in the mission.
The UAE is among the first countries conducting a Phase III Trial for a potential COVID-19 vaccine that is developed by the Chinese pharmaceutical company, Sinopharm.

Note:
Of the 4,686 reported cases today, 4,045(86%) occurred within the recent 14 days (August 11-24, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (2,242 or 55%), Region 4A (723 or 18%) and Region 3 (285 or 7%).

There were thirty-five (35) duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, seventeen (17) were recovered and one (1) death has been removed.
Moreover, there were thirty-seven (37) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were deaths (5) and active (32) cases.

WHO: Kids 5 and under should not have to wear masks
Here is WHO again saying things "according to limited available evidence". Di na raw kailangan mag mask 5 years old and below. Hindi ba sila rin ang nagsabi dati na di kailangan mag suot ng mask kung hindi naman hospital settings?
