i think the limiting factor is not the hesitancy to board and leave..
it's the open-ness of the destination.

Big global study finds remdesivir doesn't help Covid-19 patients

In a study it described as both conclusive and disappointing, the World Health Organization said the antiviral drug remdesivir has "little or no effect on mortality" for patients hospitalized with coronavirus and it doesn't seem to help patients recover any faster, either.

The WHO study reviewed remdesivir and three other repurposed drugs: hydroxychloroquine, the HIV combination of lopinavir and ritonavir and interferon. None of them helped patients live any longer or get out of the hospital any sooner, WHO said.

The trial was able to generate conclusive evidence on the impact the drugs had on mortality, the need for ventilation, and duration of hospital stay.

Gilead Sciences, the drug's maker, said the findings did not mean the drug, sold under the brand name Veklury, is of no benefit.

"The emerging data appear inconsistent with more robust evidence from multiple randomized, controlled studies published in peer-reviewed journals validating the clinical benefit of Veklury (remdesivir). We are concerned that the data from this open- label global trial have not undergone the rigorous review required to allow for constructive scientific discussion," Gilead said in a statement.

"The benefits of Veklury have been demonstrated in three randomized, controlled clinical trials, including a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial -- the gold standard for evaluating the efficacy and safety of investigational drugs."

Cloth masks don't offer as much protection as surgical masks diba? I don't understand whymmiddle class and up people still choose to wear cloth masks? Mga vloggers lang nakikita ko since I don't go out. Halos piso na lang ibang surgical mask diba? Is it for fashion? Kasi pansin ko kahit gaano pa katangos ilong nahuhulog ang cloth mask talaga and again it does not offer the same protection as surgical masks

unlike real surgical masks, some cloth masks were not designed to adhere to certain functional (filtering) characteristics.
thus, some cloth masks are easier to breathe thru.

also, cloth masks offer some amount of "design creativity" that appeals to some users.

i believe that is what i said.

so why do they use cloth masks still?
1. cloth mask is easier to come by for them.
2. some cloth masks may be easier to breathe thru.
3. they do not know the differences in protection afforded by the various choices, and if they do, see #5.
4. they like the artistic arrive of some cloth masks.
5. they couldn't care less.

surgical masks don't seal against your face so they let a lot stuff through including pm2.5 and viruses

you should go out more but protect yourself w/ MINIMUM of ffp2 / n95 rated masks. i wear P100 level whenever possible except when i need to talk, so i don't look and sound like bane (from the chris nolan batman) LOL

don't wear kn95. tests have shown that 70% of them don't meet standards

lastly don't wear fake 3m masks. tons of them out there
