the headlines make it sound like it's a violation or something

vaccines are already approved after phase 3

with or without phase 4 the vaccine is already allowed for mass vaccination

    them's compromises.
compromises do tend to look stup-id.

get the hardhat or half hardhat model. you can easily swing the visor semi-up, so's you can eat.

Mental health issues due to uncertainty...

Gov’t asks churches, spiritual leaders to spread '''message of hope''' amid rising suicide cases

CDC: Depression and anxiety rises for US adults since Covid-19 — Quartz

Guevarra said in a statement sent to reporters that he got a call from Galvez on Friday night, August 21, “regarding the alarming increase in the number of suicides during these pandemic times.”

“He is seeking the help of our churches and spiritual leaders in providing counsel and guidance to their members and followers who are undergoing depression due to loss of employment or livelihood, anxiety of being afflicted with or dying from the dreaded disease, loneliness arising from isolation, and lack of hope for a return to their normal lives,” Guevarra said.

“I share Secretary Galvez’s concern and respectfully request our spiritual leaders to bring this much needed message of hope to our suffering countrymen in order to stave off more incidents of self-destruction,” he added.

The Philippine government had implemented one of the longest lockdowns in the world, particularly in Metro Manila and nearby provinces in Luzon, causing businesses to either downsize or fold up.

Experts had predicted a nationwide mental health epidemic as the country was poised to endure unprecedented periods of quarantine, isolation, and uncertainty.

how many positions were on the table?

    i wonder,
were the advertised positions, "a job with a future" ?
i mean, these are doctors! they can just as easily do financially-rewarding private work.

    by the same token,
    when HIV became popular,
medical positions and infectious disease positions in the usa went un-answered.

fortunately, the need was filled by furriners like us...

Don't wash groceries down after purchase, it is simpler to just wash your hand after handling anything and do not touch your face before washing your hands.

Coronavirus: What are the risks of catching it from food packaging? - BBC News

In theory, it may be possible to catch Covid-19 from packaging material.

Laboratory-based studies have shown that the virus can survive for hours, if not days, on some packaging materials - mostly cardboard and various forms of plastic.

What's more, the virus is more stable at lower temperatures, which is how many foods are transported.

However, some scientists have questioned whether these results could be replicated outside the lab.

Dr Julian Tang, associate professor of respiratory sciences at the University of Leicester, says that in the outside world, environmental conditions change rapidly, meaning that the virus can't survive as long.
And Emanuel Goldman, professor of microbiology at Rutgers University, has also pointed out that the lab studies used samples of up to 10 million viral particles, whereas the number of viral particles in - for example - an aerosol droplet sneezed on to a surface, was likely to be only about 100.

Writing in The Lancet in July, he said: "In my opinion, the chance of transmission through inanimate surfaces is very small, and only in instances where an infected person coughs or sneezes on the surface, and someone else touches that surface soon after the cough or sneeze (within one to two hours)."
The World Health Organization says "There is currently no confirmed case of Covid-19 transmitted through food or food packaging". But it does list a number of precautions you can take to avoid cross-contamination.

If you're shopping for groceries, use hand sanitiser before entering the shop if possible, and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards, and also after handling and storing your purchased products.

It should also be safe to have groceries delivered if the delivery worker follows good personal and food hygiene practices. You should also wash your hands after accepting food and grocery deliveries. Some experts also recommend only using plastic bags once.

It says there is no need to disinfect food packaging, but "hands should be properly washed after handling food packages and before eating".

Suicide is still considered taboo... even the death of the son of Ramon Ang was hush-hush.

Well that is expected. Desperate times will test many people financially and more importantly, emotionally.
