but it's lower than other European countries like Britain and Spain which both implemented lockdowns

but you also have to put things in perspective because if you compare sweden's population of 10,099,265 to the uk's 67,886,011 and spain's 46,754,778 then that's not exactly painting a better picture of the situation in question. but if the deaths due to covid 19 are put into contrast for every 100,000 deaths of their respective citizenry, then the statistics of their fatalities wouldn't be far off because each respective country has so far tallied :

uk - 67.97
spain - 60.55
sweden - 54.93

so iyong bilang ng mga nasawi nila hindi din talaga nagkakalayo sa isa't-isa in relation to each of the country's number of citizens.

Time will tell if they were effective or otherwise ... while most of the world's waiting for the 2nd wave ... they won't have one ... they're betting that in the long term, their solution is the better option for them ...

in the long run this really could be a better option for them because they may have basically eliminated a whole category of people - via natural selection - who would otherwise expensively burden the tax funded health care system of theirs in the name of herd immunity. why support the weak and the elderly when they can save the healthy current and future contributors of their society in one fell swoop .

i guess that's swedish viking pragmatism at its best. is it bad? i don't think i'm fit to judge such practicality.

i don't know.
if i were me, i'd just open the windows and the doors.
sanitizing with a UV light also helps.
it's probably more effective at ridding of the virus.

addendum:
i did a quick google.
the product is designed as a surface disinfectant. it is not for foods or surfaces that may come in contact with food.
the etiketa did not say that it is designed as an "air disinfectant", either.

I remember reading an article WHO confirms or at least leaning towards that the virus can float thru air for hours based on recommendation of scientist. So why most people dont wear a safety googles or face shield? government should make it mandatory just like wearing a mask.

Pag galing sa labas, toilet paper with alcogel punas steering wheel, then bilad ulit sa araw.

If there would be an available vaccine let say 1st qtr next year are you willing to be vaccinated? we all know that it could have a side effect but weighing the side effect and covid virus will you take the risk?

the original active ingredient when first introduced about a hundred years ago, was an aromatic alcohol of the cresol family. hence the name.

Although the coronavirus-causing COVID-19 is not known to be food-borne, it’s important that food handlers and diners must take proper precaution when cooking or eating to avoid catching the virus.

1. Avoid raw foods for now, including raw fish, meat, unpasteurized dairy products.

2. Wash vegetables, fruits thoroughly if uncooked, and eat immediately.

3. Reheat leftover food before eating.

4. Those cooking food must wash their hands thoroughly (for at least 20 seconds) after doing any of the following: cleaning work areas (countertops, oven, etc), handling raw food, touching garbage, touching one’s face or other parts of the body, shaking hands, going to the toilet, touching door knobs.

The cook must behave like a surgeon who’s already sterile and should avoid contamination during the entire operation.
