Myanmar's new cases are growing exponentially.
DAILY SNAPSHOT (ASEAN DEATH TOLL CROSSES 19,000): Total Cases crossed the 777,000 mark at 7:00 pm with over 9,700 cases reported across the region since our last update. Indonesia has reported the highest daily tally for New Cases. The Health Ministry in the country has announced 4,497 New Cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing Total Cases nationwide to 333,449. According to data released by the ministry, 79 more people have died of the disease, bringing Total Deaths to 11,844 – the highest in Southeast Asia. In second spot is the Philippines. The Department of Health (DoH) in the country reports that Total Cases of COVID-19 now stand at 339,341, after 2,502 newly-confirmed cases were added to the list of COVID-19 patients. In third spot again is Myanmar. The ASEAN member state’s Health Ministry reported 2,158 New Cases of coronavirus yesterday night, in a record daily tally, along with 32 New Deaths. The country is now in a state of shock as it is gripped by a raging COVID-19 pandemic. This has once again placed next month's national election in doubt. Malaysia is facing a growing battle as 561 New Cases were reported today – up from yesterday’s tally of 374.
Mass time-based recoveries again. Less active cases compared to last weekend.
Moreover, 41 cases previously tagged as recovered were reclassified as deaths.
15 labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System (CDRS) on October 10, 2020.
