Doesn't matter uls whether rapid or swab as along it's free. Ganyan ang kailangan para marami mag pa test.

i think it's coz big businessmen in Manila know it's in their best interest to get the epidemic in the city under control

    disruptive kasi ung barangay lockdowns

there are only 3 lines that you need to look at

    control, igm, igg

when both igm and igg lines aren't present and only control line is present that means the test did not detect any antibodies

when both control line and igm line is present that means you need to get swabbed

    yan ang na-experience ni Deestone
    yespo.
these test kits are like the test kits used in other situations, like pregnancy test, other infectious disease test, etc.
ang nag-iiba lang, ay yung antibodies and antigens being used.
the basic mechanisms for the test are the same.

    the problem is the interpretation.
the presence of that IgM line, simply means that you have detectable IgM in your blood.
consulting the antibody-antigen curves, there are two common possibilities: either you currently have the virus, or you are already rid of it.
thus the necessity for the swab. to determine which of the two, the patient is.
but to call the test "false positive" is erroneous.
to avoid this mis-understanding, enlightened medical practitioners report it simply as "reactive". it is up to the physician who ordered the test, to do the advised next step.
this is one reason why i personally find it ill-advised, to have the test kit available in mercury drug. because the danger of mis-interpretation is very real.

    btw,
when both IgM and IgG are negative in the test kit, there are two common possibilities:
either the person has never had the infection,
or the person is in the early, non-detectable phase, of the infection.

    ok Doc got it

i shouldn't have used the term "false positive"

should have used the word "reactive"

    ang mga duktor naman,
they should sit down with the patient, and take time to explain these things to him.

Hindi ko alam ano ba kasi talaga strategy ng National Government.

Philippine Red Cross is doing the PCR test already for free!

Technically hindi yan free, Philhealth ang magbabayad from the contribution ng members.

What Red cross is doing is establishing labs certified ni DOH / RITM and they are doing well! (Pogi nanaman si Gordon!)

Nakakatulong ba itong kanya kanya approach ng LGU?

Mas dodoble pa nga ang gastos ng tao at ng gobyerno, imagine ikaw nagpa rapid test ka (out of of pocket) then na nabalitaan mo yang “free testing” na yan uulit ka ng test. Open to all naman kahit for peace of mind lang daw.

I got tested by Red Cross in 1 day tapos na nila i-process yung specimen, yung pag notify talaga sa tinest ang backlog (got notified after 3 days pa isama mo pa na yung office eh sumama sa pangungulit for the release nung result)

well according to malacanang, hindi daw

‘It’s working:' Palace defends virus response as cases hit 63K | Inquirer News

Malacañang on Friday defended the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as cases breached an earlier projection of 60,000 by the end of July.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the government’s response was still “effective,” since millions have been spared from contracting the illness.

Any big tertiary hospitals offers it shempre mas mahal

Try Red Cross, got tested dun sa EDSA Mandaluyong bago mag guadalupe.

Yung mabilis na result? Hmm cannot answer that since yung sa aken 3 days pa ako informed kahit in 1 day tapos na nila processing.
