Di talaga pwede sa squater areas yang physical distancing. Kahit mag mask pa sila na natutulog magkakahawahan pa din sila. They simply do not have space. Multi families living under 1 roof, 10 square meters or less. Kahit 4 or 5 vertical levels pa yan magkakahawahan yan. That is why they go out, because it is hot, humid, dark, and the air has been breathed many times already.

How much more kaya dun sa trully depressed squater areas? How does Payatas compare to the old Smokey Mountain? I know how bad Smokey was, my sister was the doctor there ages ago.

Next source of infection, online shopping couriers.
Saan kaya nakatira karamihan sa mga ito?

    Theory

you need to go thru what Italy went thru in March before you see a huge decline in number of new cases

it took Italy 2 months for the virus to burn out (but they had to see thousands of new cases and hundred of deaths per day)

we did not experience what Italy went thru

what we're experiencing / going to experience is something much more drawn out

smaller number of cases and deaths per day over a longer period of time

it will take longer for the virus to burn out in PH

    i think

It will be meaningful if DOH will also publish the percentage of the daily positive cases against the total number of tests done.

At least we’ll know if the percentage trend is increasing or already decreasing with more persons being tested.

If only the data was really accurate and openly known and verifiable.

Like maybe hospitals, testing centers and medical clinics posting their own data.

UP just said there are 7K more positive cases not yet included at DOH's tally.

Or pwede din talagang hinde masyadong umubra dito yun covid-19, siguro meron na tayong immunity dahil sa dami ng mga bentot dito. Baka last year pa tayo marami nagkaroon ng flu kaya meron na tayong herd immunity.

dapat naman talaga, they should report it as number of positives over total number tested.

personally, i find the percentage more informative than plain positives alone.
why they refuse to do it, i do not understand.
i am sure, i am not alone in this.
