Experts like those in the academe who made all those models to predict how the virus would spread and how many would die if non-pharmaceutical interventions are not put in place.

It's just silly that medical doctors and other experts, despite their insistence to "stick to scientific evidence", cannot arrive at the same conclusions.
even here in asia, the more we test, the more it seems, that a significant chunk of covid 19 positives, are asymptomatic.

some experts say that we need about 80% immunity (previous infection and recovery) of the population, to have significant herd immunity for the remaining 20%.

    sweden have only 10M population.
    their healthcare system is superb.
they can afford to assume that anyone with symptoms, need hospitalization.

experts 'round the world, "do not seem to agree", because this is the first time they have come across the problem that is covid 19.
their stash of "scientific evidence" on covid 19 is near-non-existent.
they are beginning to build it up only now.

Na pressure lang sila that time kasi sila lang ang may ibang approach and it's unethical.

Again we don't know how many are immune already and those who are still infected but asymptomatic.

Number of deaths might still be the same with or without lockdowns, maybe that we don't know.

Asian tayo -- many households are muti-generational

maari di ka takot mahawa pero pwede mo mahawaan mga magulang mo

kung kaya ng lipunan natin i-sacrifice mga senior sige mag herd immunity tayo

    game?

    Too optimistic...

Johnson & Johnson’s sets timeline for COVID-19 vaccine

“It is anticipated that the first batches of a COVID-19 vaccine could be available for emergency use authorization in early 2021,” Mr. Stoffels told BusinessWorld in an e-mail response.

“We will continue to work with local and international health authorities, governments, regulators and NGOs (non-government organizations) to ensure that if development is successful and products approved, we achieve broad and timely access to our healthcare solutions,” he added.

The company is targeting to provide a global supply of more than one billion vaccine doses and expand global manufacturing capacity by establishing new manufacturing capacity in the United States, Europe, and/or Asia.

Government first promised to have testing full blast at the end of the month...

Gov't eyes testing of all suspected COVID-19 cases, frontliners by May 15

He added that they are targeting 20,000 tests per day not later than May 15 and 30,000 tests per day by May 30, with a 24-48 hour period of release of results.

The whole world is aware of this, its only the china as# kissers that are still in denial and defensive.
China is so sensitive when calls are made for investigating the origin of their virus, australia recently did, and china retorted to blackmail. Why protest if you have nothing to hide?

Why are massage spas allowed to open and not fitness gyms? Mas may person to person contact ang massage vs fitness gyms.

Agree, both should be closed. Sa gym you have sweat and possible contamination thru things you touch, sa Spa naman close proximity and touching as well.

Tsk, wala social distancing dyan. Sa gym sumisinghal pa naman ang iba kapag mabigat binubuhat at bumubuwelo.

baka kasi may medical or therapeutic effects ang massages. something that can calm the nerves especially now that everybody is on edge.

i for one want to visit my suki na nuat thai massage house kaso i'll pass kasi delikado especially shared pa iyong mga massage beds.

nagulat ako kanina in operation pa din pala ang philpost. akala ko after the ecq resumption na ng services nila. ang japan ems kasi suspended na ang operations indefinitely.

iyong pnb branch ko pala nag announce kanina na temporarily closed sila til further notice.
