    PRES DUTERTE SPEECH LAST NIGHT

After the 15th of May, if the ECQ will not be extended anymore, we should all assume that a GCQ will be imposed on ALL of the regions affected by the COVID-19. Let us help Malacaņang in informing people of the new normal we have to follow. Familiarize yourselves to avoid confusion.

    General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Rules:

    1. Selected workers in non-essential services are allowed to go to work.

    ● electronics
    ● exports
    ● manufacturing
    ● e-commerce
    ● delivery
    ● repair services
    ● maintenance
    ● housing

    2. Half of employees work from home, 50 percent are working on site:

    ● Finance
    ● Business process outsourcing (BPO)
    ● Non-leisure trade and service

    3. Will remain CLOSED:

    ● Schools
    ● Amusement centers
    ● Leisure facilities
    ● Gaming
    ● Tourism services

    4. NOT permitted to leave the house:

    ● Children (0 to 20 years old)
    ● Elderly (60 years old and above)
    ● People with high-risk health issues

    5. ONLY shops catering to NECESSITIES will be allowed to re-open in malls. Malls will limit entry of shoppers.

    6. Airconditioning will be limited in malls. WIFI will not be provided. NO loittering allowed.

    7. Priority construction projects can resume

    8. Nonworkers are allowed to buy food and go out to avail of essential services

    ● Allowed will be people who are 21 to 59 years old.
    ● EXCEPT again: children, elderly, vulnerable people

    9. Public transport can operate at reduced capacity.

    10. Local government units shall ENFORCE CURFEW for nonworkers.

    11. Airports and ports can only operate for the unhampered DELIVERY OF GOODS.

    ---
Plans of going out or reunions after May 15 are still not entirely possible. You are REQUIRED to bring an I.D. that specifies your AGE and ADDRESS wherever you go. Checkpoints will still be in place. You will still be questioned if you defy the rules.

We need to abide by the guidelines. Be aware that we are trying to avoid a second wave which is considered to be more damaging than the first.

I wonder how malls will limit the shoppers inside. Isang entrance lang ang bubuksan?

Awww, that's just so unfortunate. Youtube censoring for China's puppet again?

I watched that long interview and I dare say that Dr. Dan Erickson and his partner presented their (controversial but interesting) position about lifting the lockdown in their area fairly well and in a mild manner at that. Bottomline for these 2 doctors in the interview were:

    1) Lockdown vs no lockdown did not produce statistically different number of deaths -- so why lockdown at all?
    2) The NUMBERS (statistical data) show that the Wuhan Virus is similar to the Flu virus -- the numbers, not the actual sickness -- so no need to "panic".

Controversial and interesting POV if their data is really correct. Though right now, not very popular, I guess. Only time will tell.

This will be tested once quarantine conditions are eased....May15 onwards. Healthcare must brace for the expected 2nd wave case spike...Hopefully, herd immunity comes quick.

There's another Swedish MD on youtube who was interviewed and who is also against drastic lockdowns. His take is that --

"Most people who get it would never even notice they were infected."

and because of that, he thinks 50% of the population (in Sweden) already have it. If he's correct, then we are all nearer to herd immunity than others (experts) would want us to believe. Experts like those in the academe who made all those models to predict how the virus would spread and how many would die if non-pharmaceutical interventions are not put in place.

It's just silly that medical doctors and other experts, despite their insistence to "stick to scientific evidence", cannot arrive at the same conclusions.

The interviewer was from UK, so the doctor told him the same holds true for UK -- that 50% of the population in the UK already has the disease. The good doctor also believes that UK's first strategy of herd immunity was the better action, before PM Boris Johnson made a U-turn and imposed drastic lockdowns instead. Just saying.

I challenge anyone here who believe those 2 Bakersfield doctors on youtube

Lumabas kayo go to a grocery store don't wear mask touch everything then touch your face para lumakas immune system niyo

Nakakahina daw ng immune system ang stay home

    Those 2 doctors are businessmen

They're talking out of self interest

Meron sila urgent care business called Accelerated

Their business is getting hit by the lockdown

How the heck did two urgent care-owning doctors from Bakersfield who have no background in virology or epidemiology become a trusted source of information?? They just want to get their clinics open so they can get back to balance billing out of network patients.

If you know what's going on in the US now

People (mostly Trumpists) believe in a conspiracy where Gates and Fauci are responsible for the lockdown

May agenda daw sila Gates and Fauci

Tama naman UK sa study nila, yung time na effective sana yung containment ay sobrang lipas na. That's 1st week of March ata when most countries imposed lockdowns. There's no way to control it na by that time. Should have done it December or January pa ata.

Na pressure lang sila that time kasi sila lang ang may ibang approach and it's unethical.

Again we don't know how many are immune already and those who are still infected but asymptomatic.

Number of deaths might still be the same with or without lockdowns, maybe that we don't know. Magkaka alaman pa lang weeks after ma lift na lockdowns.
