The erratic data of new cases being reported is not attributable to more tests being done as the reporting is probably not real time and the delays in releasing the results will not be able to provide us a true picture of the “flattening of the curve” until all backlog results are accounted for and we start “flattening” the data. ang nangyayari kasi sa China ngayon madami negosyante sumali sa mask-making business coz of tremendous demand

bibili lang sila ng machine and raw materials they're in the mask-making business na

walang rules walang quality control

there are suppliers / middlemen that are shady they don't give you a company name and they'll ask for full payment agad

buyers who have little or no experience dealing with chinaman naloloko sila

ung mga buyer na nag-google lang ng mask supplier... lolokohin lang mga yan

meron nag transfer ng pera naglaho ung kausap

ung iba may natanggap na item defective naman (at least may natanggap)

if you know what you're doing you need someone on the ground in China

that guy has to stand outside a mask factory with a suitcase full of cash and a cargo plane at the airport

that's how you secure supplies right now

kaya gumagamit ng military aircraft ang Pinas para mag pick up ng supplies

suppliers are talking to several countries and state governments and NGOs all at the same time

(i guess some of you have come across news where the US Federal gov't is competing with their own state goverments for supplies)

there are people on the ground in China who are paying cash to get someone else's order

(i guess some of you have come across news where supplies meant for one country went to another country)

it's crazy right now in the medical supply industry it's amazing our country is able to secure supplies (i guess coz we have people who have very reliable contacts in China)

The doctors have valid points based on current data. Though like you said, why are some hospitals overwhelmed and medical staffs dying? Pero the one thing na tumatak sakin sa sinabi nung doctor was yung pag weaken ng (natural) immunity because of isolation. That I believe somehow.

I've been saying repeatedly that when you test a lot of people you'll find a lot of asymptomatic positives tapos pag ibangga mo sa number of deaths makita mo mababa pala ang case fatality rate
