Nahawa ako the other week ng, I suspect, Omicron. Cough, colds, body ache & slight fever of less than a day. It felt like a mild flu. It could have been worse if I weren’t vaxxed. Like the Flu, this could be seasonal but unlike the flu, this is much worse for the unvaxxed.

25% of my officemates caught COVID this January. All fully-vaxxed. All of them reported no more than a bout of cough and cold with the occasional slight fever. None reported the loss of taste/smell, diarrhea and loss of breath. Back in 2020 we lost 2.

When I had Covid last week, I tested strongly positive with the rapid antigen test on day 0 then tested nega on the eve of day 7 As a clearance test to break quarantine, apparently the rapid antigen test is better than the pcr.

If you test positive on a rapid COVID test, don’t stop isolating just yet, virologists say | PBS NewsHour

Mas mabilis talaga makahawa ang sipon lalo na sa tag lamig.

I caught it twice, hindi ako naka travel dahil nag positive ako sa sipon. Buti nalang nag alert level 3 justified yung hindi ko pag travel. lol.

some writers believe that some of that 'sipon' we are experienceing on a seasonal basis,
are the mutated remnants of the spanish flue of 1918.

Conclusion ko is, kahit na detectpa early yung covid19 and same vaccines used and kahit mabilis ang inoculation, madami or mapupuno pa rin ang mga hohospital and madami pa rin mamatay…

If you were infected by the Omicron variant... would the natural immunity prevent re infection?

I understand the parents hesitation to vaccine their 5 to 11 years old kids. But why decide for all the parents in PH? Let each parents decide Kung ayaw nila or gusto. fb_img_1643883623696.jpg

Flattening the curve doesn't work in the time of Omicron. Restrictions won't slow down Omicron high infection...

Better to have it now before opening the borders

Tyra Grove Krause, director of infection preparedness, (infectious diseases agency SSI)

There was nothing for it but to let omicron run through the population

With omicron, it is impossible to stop the spread of infection, even with severe restrictions

    Natural immunity and vaccinations,

send cases down by middle of February

As far as community health is concerned,

Covid is now on a par with the common cold.

Pag BA.1 infected , pdeng mag ka BA.2 reinfection agad.

Israel has detected the first cases of people who have been reinfected with the new BA2 strain after having the original Omicron variant, Hebrew media reported Tuesday.

The reports on Channel 12 news and the Kan public broadcaster said a few individuals who were infected with the original BA1 Omicron strain have come down with BA2 as well.

The cases are in the single digits, and it was not clear whether those people had underlying conditions, but Channel 12 noted it raises concerns, should numbers grow.

Kan said it was not yet clear if those reinfected had been vaccinated or not.

Earlier Tuesday, an Israeli expert told ministers that the descendant of the Omicron variant that has been found in more than 50 countries, including Israel, could be 1.5 times as contagious as the original strain.
