Please do not experiment with unauthorized Moderna boosters or any boosters for that matter. The dose for boosting Moderna is 50mcg, which is HALF of the usual dose for primary vaccination. Your "illegal drug dealer" may not know this. Otherwise you risk more reactions. This is also why we strongly advice people to wait for official guidelines before jumping the gun. You are risking your health and your life.

Now that FDA has issued an EUA greenlighting boosters for healthcare workers, the mad rush is figuring out which booster you should get. We are still waiting for final NVOC guidelines, so some of these may change. To clarify:

1. This is ONLY for healthcare workers (A1) for now.

2. This is VOLUNTARY.

3. Whatever primary series you got, you are eligible for only ONE SHOT of ONE of these three vaccines only: Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna

4. Only those who are at least 6 MONTHS from their 2nd dose are eligible. This may change depending on the final release since some studies have given boosters as early as 3 months.

5. From a pure safety standpoint, homologous boosters are more predictable. In other words, if you got Sinovac, Pfizer or Moderna, you should go for a 3rd dose of the same vaccine. There is data that mixing (heterologous vaccination) is more likely to cause reactions.

6. If you are a frontline worker who takes care of COVID-19 patients and you got Sinovac, there is MARGINAL preliminary data that a single shot of Pfizer booster has an added 10% clinical protection compared to a third dose of Sinovac. However, the protection against SEVERE disease is the SAME. The efficacy data is only for 14 days from the booster dose so these may change. (2nd picture)

7. For non-frontline healthcare workers, the decision point is whether you think the marginal added clinical benefit (but equal protection from severe disease) is worth the added risk of severe reactions.

8. Bottom line, here are my recommendations:

a. Got 2 doses Sinovac >6 months, frontliner, no allergy/ADR history - Pfizer booster

b. Got 2 doses Sinovac, frontliner >6 months with allergy/ADR history - 3rd dose Sinovac

c. Got 2 doses Sinovac >6 months, not a frontliner, no allergy/ADR history - either Sinovac or Pfizer (personal choice)

d. Got 2 doses Sinovac >6 months, not a frontliner, with allergy/ADR history - 3rd dose Sinovac

e. Got 2 doses Pfizer or Moderna >6 months ago, either frontline or nonfrontline HCW - use 3rd dose of the same brand (note, Moderna booster is HALF DOSE).

f. Fully vaccinated HCW with ANY other vaccine, nonfrontline or frontline (Janssen, Astra, Sputnik V etc.) - no clear preference on what booster to take (Pfizer, Moderna, Sinovac), might want to wait for more data. If with allergy/ADR Sinovac might be safer.

These recs are subject to change as the science trickles in, and are by no means final. If you have a hard time deciding, it might be safer to wait for more data. Stay safe!

I know of some people who used the paid Moderna shots from ICTSI/solaire as a booster dose.
They already got their covid vaccine from their LGU but since they already prepaid daw for the Moderna shots they used it as a booster dose.
They got it less than 6 months from their 2nd dose coming from the LGU.
Plus they got the 2 doses of moderna as booster!
Grabe daw yung side effect dun sa 2nd dose.
They had to lie to HCW when asked if they already had a covid vaccine, since this was done last month before any mandate from the DOH with regards to the booster dose.

In interviews just days apart, Bill Gates and Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted COVID vaccines aren’t effective, but both suggested the solution is to give more boosters to more people.

In two recent interviews, pandemic thought leaders Dr. Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates drastically changed their opinions on COVID vaccine effectiveness — and used their newfound concerns to push booster shots for the general population.


Last week, in an interview with Jeremy Hunt at London’s Policy Exchange, Gates admitted what many, including the Lancet, have been saying for months — that the vaccines aren’t effective.

Gates, who previously referred to the effectiveness of mRNA vaccines as “magic,” told Hunt “we need a new way of doing the vaccines.”

Only days later, Fauci echoed similar sentiments during a New York Times podcast. Fauci said the COVID vaccine’s effectiveness against infection, hospitalization and even death, for all age groups, is waning to the point where booster doses will become “essential” for everyone.

Fauci said: “I think the boosting is going to be an absolutely essential component of our response, not a bonus, not a luxury, but an absolute essential part of the program.”

Fauci said authorities are observing vaccine waning “involving all age groups.”

Making his case for a wider booster program, he told The Times the vaccines are “waning to the point that you’re seeing more and more people getting breakthrough infections, and more and more of those people who are getting breakthrough infections are winding up in the hospitals.

Today in the UK, Prime Minister Boris Johnson similarly spoke of widening the UK’s COVID booster program.

“Getting three jabs or getting your booster will become an important fact … We will have to adjust our concept of what constitutes a full vaccination,” he told Britans.

The mainstream media also is priming the public for an unknown number of additional COVID shots. Sunday, Bloomberg reported: “It may turn out that the term ‘booster’ is a bit of a misnomer, and that the correct number of shots for maximum efficacy isn’t yet known.”

If Gates and Fauci coordinated their latest COVID vaccine messaging, to manufacture consent for wider uptake of COVID vaccines through booster programs, it wouldn’t be the first time the two have collaborated closely on vaccines.
