I check the latest DOH guidelines on covid positive patient and about self isolation. So standard is at least 10days isolation but it did not say that you should get tested again after 10 days via antigen or rtpcr? because it will still detect remnants of the virus after 10 days?

Yup, 10 days isolation, wala ng rtpcr o antigen test after isolation. Explanation ng BOQ madedetect parin virus even after 14 days dahil sensitive test. Kaya pag gusto mag test inform lab na galing positive ka. May news early this year kahit 60 days daw pwede pa ma detect virus sa rtpcr.

pre-pandemic we used to not care when an employee or coworker came to work with a cold

now because we have tests pinapauwi natin mga tao na totally healthy fit for work wala sintomas dahil lang nag positibo sa test

the new normal is highly disruptive

Aside from our non NCR (main) business, we started the ones here in Manila kami kami lang naman with practically nothing. Hands on kasi kami. As you grow, you hire people and delegate tasks, training them along the way, and they stay long with us. If they later leave because of better oportunites though, we’re happy for them too. May incentives nga lang ang the ones who stay, and the the ones who retired have also been taken care of.

Kaya yes, “pilay’ kami (operations are not as fast & matrabaho right now) but we are operational- kaya namin. Bawal ang little princeling/princess boss mentality dito- if need namin to get our hands dirty sa stockrooms, magtinda, or drive the trucks around the Metro in a pinch, we’ll do it (even if we have licensed professions) Besides, hindi naman kami scale of >100 employees like the company Deestone works for.

Why send them home to rest after testing positive?

We ‘re not like some (matapobre) businesses who consider their employees as just tools (i.e. “we paid your salary, wala na kami pake"- akala mo ALIPIN yung mga tao). We take care of them. Of course, people work for the money, but we’re also aware they're investing their time/careers/lives with you din. If we fail, lalo na yung mga over 35, hirap na sila maghanap din ng job. We helped tide them through the worst of the pandemic (2020) also.

The M.D.s among us took time out to personally swab all the staff and advise them what to do. Kaya tuloy ayun, positive na rin sila AHAHAHA (They could have gotten it sa hosp./clinic or anywhere though. High exposure sila eh)

Although we’ve had our share of pasaway, abusive and devious employees who’ve had to be let go/dismissed, I don’t think the majority of them will tell us to F* off. When our grandparents passed away, some of those who were were with us from the very start cried din. I don’t think pang FAMAS audition yun. Whenever a family member gets sick/hosp., many would drop by after work/weekends, some volunteer pa magbantay sa hospital if busy sobra. Parang extended family na rin sila.

Yes po. It's not going to go away, and my MD siblings also believe no one will be untouched by COVID.

But the vaccines alter the course of the disease (for the majority of cases), turning a deadly viral pneumonia into a cold and reducing the number of days a person is contagious.

Some of our drivers tested positive for TB (very common). Ages past, it would have been a death sentence. Nowadays, we let them report back to work after around 2 weeks of proper medication- and we make sure they complete the course of treatment.

We're all doing what we can, best we know how, dealing with this continuing mess. Matatapos din ito.

Pinatest na namin sila lahat (kami rin) so malaman nila if sipon or flu na ordinary lang or a variant of some potentially lethal viral pneumonia na-- so they can do whats proper not just to protect themselves, but their families too (pag uwi). One is currently sa garahe nila (hindi na pumasok sa loob ng bahay). May folding bed siya dun, katabi daw niya yung aso, and served meals on a tray left out the front door. Awang awa daw siya sa sarili niya, all for a cold, pero COVID+ AHAHAHA

We do what we have to do to keep it from spreading, and protect the vulnerable (kahit vaxxed pa) Mahirap kasi yung tipong "walang paki", aaa, sipon lang yan... we can't go that route, at least, not yet. But I DO wish that day will come.

okay got it will show this to our h.r. becase if after 10days isolation we will still get tested for rtpcr and then i mean we are surely gonna extend our vacation.
