Thanks everyone!
Makati na lang kami for booster. Now I'm thinking if I should go to the coliseum or one of the malls. I'll wait until the 3rd or 4th week of Feb when the numbers are predicted to go down pre Omicron surge baka mas konti pa lalo nagpapa booster.
H1Tman did you get boosted na? where?
I wasn't too hopeful naman with these 1st gen vaccines, but I'm satisfied with the inactivated whole virion platform of my primary series (Coronavac). Kahit original strain pa yun, my base objective lang naman was to buy some time for the immune system to at least analyze the whole virus, rather than encounter the pathogen (or its descendants) later as a "UFO".
I didn't bother much about the efficacy, or even the ability to prevent infection (symptomatic or not), although that would have been a plus. Ma-alter lang yung course of the disease, or blunt it somewhat to something a healthy adult's body can manage like the common cold or flu.
Even if COVID-19s descendants are more infectious and remarkably different from the wild strain na, it's like comparing the movies "Independence Day" and "Independence Day: Resurgence" (Independence Day II). During the second film, the humans weren't so surprised and helpless, they even had some reverse engineered alien tech - although at significant disadvantage pa rin though (mother ship easily fought off defenses).

Yup, that was mentioned in the study... Getting an infection produces the needed antibodies response...
In SN subjects IgA were boosted after the second dose, reaching higher concentration compared to the SP group. This may be explained by the fact that previous virus exposure might first elicit mucosal IgA response similarly to other viral infections, rather than systemic immunity. Consistently with this hypothesis, it was reported that in infected individuals mucosal IgA response inversely correlated with symptom severity, being particularly abundant in asymptomatic COVID 19 patients, reinforcing their role in controlling virus penetration in the body.

We went for the drive thru vaccination in Nayong Pilipino since its convenient. Sit in the car for 1-2 hours until its your turn instead of waiting outside. People from Metro Manila are used to sitting in their cars for hours at a time anyway.![]()
I heard on the news that they will use a different location for kids. Hindi nila pagsasamahin. This is to avoid confusion, like adult dose maiturok sa kid.

i think first time mainstream media gave airtime to someone from CDCPh (concerned doctors and citizens ph)
narinig ko yesterday
re vaccinating 5 to 11 yr olds
i think many parents are concerned and the issue is popular enough for a non-mainstream opinion to be heard

Personally I will err on the side of caution, the end is in sight ayaw ko kung kailan patapos na saka mahawa.

Even Bill Maher admits that kids have 99.98% covid survivability...
since the adult market is maxed out (18 yr old up)
12 to 17 tinurokan narin
5 to 11 tinuturokan na
what's left?

The blue truck looks more of a Nissan Frontier (D22).
The green more like a Russian model car.
The red one is a Tata hatchback.
