A total of 1,078,740 Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses bought by the government arrived in Manila on Wednesday night, authorities said.

This is the first of 3 deliveries for the 2,394,990 government-bought Pfizer vaccines through the Asian Development Bank, the National Task Force Against COVID-19 said.

Philippine authorities are expecting the succeeding shipments on Thursday and Saturday, according to the task force

just to clarify,
viruses don't think. but i understand what you mean, sir.
what they do, is to undergo mutations.
mutation is a way of life. every organism that has dna or rna undergoes it. even humans.
many times, the mutation causes no significant effect.
once in a while, however, a certain mutation gives that variant an advantage in spreading its genome, or increases its resistance to certain insults (i.e., the host's immune system), or affects the host more negatively (i.e., lethal).
according to the theory of natural selection, an organism that undergoes a mutation that gives it an advantage over the others, will likely increase in number relative to the rest.
conversely, a mutation that gives it less chances of survival and multiplication, dooms that variant to the minority clause or to extinction.

so governments should be treating it as a common cold (wala na lockdowns, wala na OA)

We still have to observe if omicron infection really results mostly in mild symptoms.

After enough data is collected and analyzed then that's the time govts can do the appropriate action.

Right now, what is being done is all precautionary in nature.
