Muntinlupa lifted the face shield requirement

I think IATF is sitting on this face shield just to challenge Isko. Pulitika

Too risky. Wala pang memory yan, earliest memory ko kinder ata. I'm not a parent but they've been at home since March 2020, what's a few more months or kung gusto nila sa park or beach na halos walang tao

Di pa approve yung Moderna for use on 12-17 yo sa USA...

Moderna says Covid vaccine has fewer breakthrough cases than Pfizer'''s

Moderna defended the use of its Covid-19 vaccine Thursday, saying the protection it offers against severe disease, hospitalization and death outweighs the risk of myocarditis, a rare heart condition seen in a small number of young men who received the shot.

The company announced last week that the Food and Drug Administration needed more time to decide whether to authorize its two-dose vaccine for use in children ages 12 to 17 as the agency looks into reports of myocarditis, or the inflammation of the heart muscle.

Burton cited data from France on males ages 12 to 29. It showed there were 13.3 cases of myocarditis per 100,000 people for Moderna’s vaccine compared with 2.7 cases per 100,000 people for the Pfizer vaccine.

However, he also touted data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that showed the rates of mild or severe disease from Covid were lower in Moderna recipients than in those who received Pfizer’s or Johnson & Johnson’s vaccines. For example, there were 86 breakthrough cases per 100,000 people for the Moderna vaccine. That compares to 135 breakthrough cases per 100,000 for Pfizer’s, he said.

The data also showed unvaccinated people have an elevenfold increased risk of dying compared with those who have gotten the shots.

“While I think health authorities are carefully assessing the data, being appropriately cautious, you can see that they continue to recommend the use of the mRNA-1273 Moderna vaccine,” he said on the call. “We believe that the balance of benefit and risk is extremely positive,” he added.

More than 71 million Americans are fully vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine, according to data compiled by the CDC.

Yes, this is good, but to be honest, mahirap pa talaga mag plano ng mga biyahe, even up to the end quarter of 2022.
Napaka volatile pa ng situation. If the countries you travel through suddenly close their borders...

Mabuti sana if delays or rerouting of flights lang mangyari na magastos, pero pwede pa rin gawan ng solution kahit papaano (pero sobra sakit sa bulsa malamang), but what if stranded ka talaga with no options, and wala ka kamaganak or kaibigan sa bansa na yun? Maging taong grasa abroad?

Up to now, there are still countries that "lock out" even their own citizens returning from overseas (like Australia, sa Japan naman may quota).

I don't want to be a "nega star" din. Probably just like everyone else here, I'm also tired of all these precautions, but I don't think we can really relax our guard pa.

If we look at what's happened elsewhere, a surge has always followed when countries have been easing up and people become careless. It's like those cheesy old movies when they run to the hero cheering, not realizing some of the villains they shot are still alive, then they get up, shoot the hero in the back and give him the finger before finally dropping dead.

Sabi nga ni Dr. House: Everybody lies.

Baka naman may covid na yung bata before they went to the mall.

Maraming fictitious na tao on the internet.

Many times, escape from reality nila yung mga persona they create online because of harsh circumstances in real life. Kadalasan, mga social misfits, bullied and ostracized people tend to be driven to the `net (yung tipong walang pumapansin talaga) so they spend their days taking refuge in their make believe world. --I attended a lot of seminars on these things as a volunteer in a program to help distressed youth (pero its really draining, I'd rather help out financially or with other labor rather than be a youth counsellor)

Even with news and gossip, nasa atin na ang mag filter to sort the real from the fake. Mahirap nga lang minsan kasi very convincing ang presentation, even smart people can be misled.

My 2 cents lang naman is, tama naman to be wary of fear mongering din, but I say we should follow the usual standard (but not OA) precautions pa rin.

Use common sense. Kaya no matter what the IATF says, at the end of the day, anak pa rin natin ang affected.
